It was dark outside. Pitch black. You couldn't lie to yourself, you felt a little uneasy alone out here, but as usual you put on a straight face. No one could spot how paranoid you were feeling, at least that's what you thought. In this place it was never good to show any form of fear. You learned that the hard way.

"You look afraid darlin'~"

The words echoed through your mind, only making you speed up even more. You knew this place. You knew where you were going. You knew your status. People around here knew your name. (Y/N) (L/N). No one was gonna mess with you know that you were a wanted criminal. You weren't back then.
You sighed loudly, nearing your destination. The bright lights and loud sounds told you that you were in the right place. You didn't actually know who exactly you were supposed to meet at the night club - all your boss told you was that you'd be discussing business with another wanted criminal. Your boss wasn't exactly the guy to give you clear details, due to the fact that he trusted your abilities.
You took a deep breath, standing in front of the door to the nightclub. Finally you grabbed the doorhandle, stepping inside and looking around. You didn't immediately spot anything or anyone that could be what you were looking for. You just took a few more steps, trying to appear intimidating. You stood there for a little, waiting for something to happen.

Nothing.

You bit your lip. Surely someone would have come talk to you by now, right? After all, someone should be expecting you.

"Boo ~"

You squeaked, quickly turning around and putting your hand on the gun hidden in your belt as a reflex. A shiver  rand down your spine when you saw the well-known grin. The pale skin. The slicked back green hair, and the tattoos. You didn't know how to react. The thought that who you were gonna meet was gonna be the infamous Joker had never even crossed your mind.
The man let out a raspy sound as his grin widened. His eyes were locked on you.
"Oops.. Did I scare ya'?" He asked with a laugh, tilting his head to the side. You narrowed your eyes at him, being a little feisty. You shook your head.
"I was expecting you." You lied. He didn't look convinced at all, rather amused.
"Is that so?" He squinted his eyes slightly, still grinning like the maniac he was known to be. Being around him made you even more uneasy. Scared, even.
He nodded towards a table, surrounded by comfy looking chairs. He started walking, and you followed right behind him, sitting down in the seat across from him. There was a moment of silence where he was just starring at you. You averted his gaze, cursing at your boss inside your head for not explaining this situation further. You had no idea what to say.
"So.." Joker finally said. You quickly glanced over at him, waiting for him to start the business deal. Instead, his serious expression faded into a silly grin once again, making you shiver. You paused, waiting for him to at least explain.
"You can't expect me to take such a pretty face seriously, can ya'?" He said and leaned forward on the table. Your eyes widened and you furrowed your brows. This guy was seriously creeping you out.
"Are we gonna discuss business or what..?" You finally got the courage to say. He leaned back in the couch again, looking rather surprised at your stern voice.
"(Y/N) (L/N)... Right?~" He said with an emotionless expression. You nodded your head, annoyed that he didn't even pay attention to what you said. He looked at you, letting out a groan.
"You know, there's something about you -" He began, swaying his head from side to side. Suddenly he put his hand in front of him, placing it over your mouth. Your noticed that it was the hand with a big grin tattooed on it. He himself chuckled. You growled slightly under your breath, as he pulled his hand back.
"Listen, I came here to talk the deal over, got it?" You placed your hand firmly on the table. He raised his eyebrows - well, where they would have been if he had any - and nodded.
"Feisty, are we?" He clicked his tongue and crossed his legs. "Fine. Let's talk business."
