Hey there old flare, I heard you were good. Wish I could say the same like I could. Just fake my emotions with a plastic smile. Maybe then you would have stayed for a while. More than our relationship had lasted. But with our emotions both contrasted. In different shades of light. Yours always darkest, mine always bright. It was only natural for it to happen how it did. If only I could have seen and not been like a kid. Caught in some wonderful dream. With their eyes a constant agleam. Sadly, I was a fool with delusions of grandeur. Never foreseeing that force majeure. And that fateful day when you broke my heart. It all just ended, like it had start. With my love on you. And eyes too. Only this time neither were requited. And put out a flame once ignited. However, one day when the past leaves me no claim. And I no longer find you to blame. I will once again blissfully fare. With my love intact, and greet my new Flare.
