Austins POV:

As I walked down the hallway I heared a commotion.

"Watch where your going you worthless b*ch."

'Oh great Cleo has found another person to harass.'
I sarted to walk away when I spoted a familier mass of brown curls at the center of the commotion.

"What cat got your toungh, or did you mama drop you on your head!" Cloe sneered

I steped to the front of the ring that was around Cloe and Rose the new girl, just as Rose smoothly grabbed Cloe oversized earing and yanked it so there faces where mear inches apart.'holy sh*t no one ever stuck up for themselves when Cloe picked on them'

Rose had Cloe in a death trap one more yank on one of those earings and you could cause Cloe some serious pain, but I wouldn't complaing if that did happed because that b*tch deserves it.

"Listen chicka I know that you probably thought that just because I'm not as tall as you or that I wore classes means I wouldn't fight back or stick up for my self when you got all b*chy, well you got another thing comeing. Now stay the f*ck away from me.

I almost couldn't stop myself from smiling when Rose said that. 'She is something'

My thoughts where interrupted by Mrs. Terrance sayng

"Mis Rose Detention"

I was confused when I saw Rose go pail with thoes words.

It puzzled me as I walked away feom the little "incedent" occurred. I walked to eight hour and sat in boardom wondering what frightend Rose untill school was over.

I walked out to my bike and was about to get on when Rose came sprinting out of the school and berriling towards the direction of the city gym.which happend to be one of the many dangerous neborhoods. Me being me followed her like a stalker. She kept sprinting untill she came to a old rundown house where she ran up the stairs and went inside. I sat there puzzled foor a few minutes as to wy why someone like her would live in this neborhood.

"AHHHHH!!!!!"

I was ripped from my thoughts by a bone chilling scream that came from the house. Before i could register what I was doing I was running up the stairs and slamming the door open. To see a man that looked to be in his fourties straddiling Rose wile beating her mercilessly.

I ripped the man off of Roses now limp body and punched him in the face repeatedy untill he passed out. I turned my full atention to the small figure of Rose. I finaly noticed the shape she was in she had blood oozing from a cut on her forehead and bruised all over her skin. She looked at me through half closed eyes.

" Hay don't fall asleep, keep your eyes open your going to be ok" I cood

I carefully picked her up bridle style, and freeze when I hear her hiss in pain as I touched her left arm. A frantic"Sorry" escaped my lips as I looked at her In worry.

I carried her out of the house and looked doun at Roses face as she snuggled into my chest.

Sat doun in the grass wile holding her. I called Nick and told him what happend and to pick us up and take us to the hospital.

Nick pulled up in his red shevy truck and helped me get Roses now sleeping form in the back steat.

We arived at the hospital and the nurses took Rose away on a gurny.

Jusy as she was taken away two police officers walked into the hospital and I had to explain what happend and they told me that the man that I knocked unconscious was roses father and that he was wanted for theft and atempted murder in Wisconsin. Thay also said that Rose would need to be move to a foster home because her dad wouldn't get out of jail any time soon.

I thanked the officers and waited for f the nurse to tell me Roses condition.
