(Renee's POV)
Today is my 16th birthday and I'm having a huge party and sleepover tonight with heaps of friends. It's gonna be really fun, but before that I get to celebrate the day with my family.

I'm walking out into the living room for the first time today, my family don't know I'm awake yet. I get into the room and see my 3 brothers battling it out on the PlayStation, my sister lying down playing games on her iPad and my parents chatting on the couch. When they see me, they all immediately drop what they are doing and scream,
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY RENEE!!!" At the top of their lungs.
"Wow, you actually put down that controller for me, I'm so special" I said with a smug look. They all just rolled their eyes and I got bombarded by hugs, before being led to the kitchen for breakfast.

My mum told me that she made a 'special birthday breakfast', and covered my eyes when I entered the dining area.
"So, you hungry?" She said while taking her hands away from my eyes. There were plates and bowls full of bacon, eggs, pancakes, fruit, basically anything you could ever imagine. It looked like a feast, and after clearing all 12 plates, it definitely tasted like one too.

I thanked my family and made my way to my bedroom to get changed and set up for the party tonight. I put on a short white dress with aqua heels and matching earrings and a necklace. I then straightened my hair and grabbed some balloons, streamers and a disco ball for the party decorations in the spare room. When I was finished prepping, I made my way to the kitchen to make the snacks. I poured 4 bags of different flavoured chips into large bowls and turned on the oven ready to make the brownies, cupcakes and muffins.

After about an hour of making the food, I checked the time and it was almost 3pm. The guests should be here in about an hour, which gave me enough time to open the presents from my family. I made my way into the living room, and on the coffee table I saw a pile of presents wrapped in shiny blue and white wrapping paper. I opened all of my presents and got some shoes, a black dress, some sunnies, a box of chocolate and an In Stereo pillow!!! I love In Stereo so much, especially Chris. I was so excited about my presents and thanked my family for getting me such great stuff.

It was now 4pm, and my friends started spilling into the spare room full of party decorations, food and drinks.
"Happy birthday Renee!!" They all screamed as they entered my house. I've never had a big party like this before, there must've been at least 150 people dancing in the one room. The night went on as people slowly started leaving and the room cooled down, and I was left with 5 of my closest friends; Bianca, Chloe, Emma, Charlotte and Charli. We all went back into my room and prepared for the sleepover, rolling out our sleeping bags and getting some snacks.
"We should play truth or dare", Emma suggested, as we all got into bed.
"Yess!!! Ok, Bianca. Truth or dare?", Charli said.
"Truth", Bianca answered nervously.
"Hmmm...okay. Have you ever kissed a girl that isn't in your family? And yeah, kissing on the cheek counts by the way." Charli said.
"I don't think so...no" Bianca answered.
"Well that's probably gonna change after tonight knowing how our truth or dare games normally go!" Charlotte said, as everybody laughed.

About 3 dares and 2 truths in, it was my turn to answer truth or dare.
"Dare" I said, wondering what they were going to come up with this time.
"I dare you to prank call a random number, and pretend that you are selling something random" Chloe said, as everyone else said, "OOOOH".
I picked up my phone and dialled in a random number, hoping that they don't pick up.
"Hello, this is Chris speaking" I heard the person on the other end of the line say in a husky voice. The voice sounded extremely familiar, but I just brushed it off and continued with my dare.
"Hello sir, I was wondering if you would like to buy our latest edition of the sneeze vacuum. The sneeze vacuum sucks up any bacteria when you sneeze, and replaces it with cool, fresh air. This sneeze vacuum prevents sicknesses such as-" I said in a fancy business voice, before I was cut off.
"Sorry, but can't this wait? It's 2am." He said.
"DROWNING IN 2AM!!" I screamed into the phone, forgetting that I was meant to be a business person.
"Um, why are you quoting my song?" The guy on the phone said. Then it clicked. The familiar voice, when he said his name was Chris...ITS CHRIS LANZON!!! I was completely star struck and just stood in the room in silence, as all of my friends had confused looks on their faces.
"A-a-are you, like, THE Chris Landon?" I said with a shaky voice. Everyone's faces around me just dropped in awe.
"Well, obviously. Who did you think I was?" He said.
"S-sorry, I got given a dare to prank call a random number, I didn't know it was you. Um, I'm Renee by the way." I stuttered.
"Well, you already know my name" Chris laughed. We spent about 10 minutes talking in the middle of the night, when I thought I'd better get to sleep.
"Sorry for keeping you up, but I'm going to go to bed now and try to get some sleep haha. Goodnight Chris" I said.
"Wait, Renee, before you go, would you mind going out for dinner with me sometime? I know I don't exactly know you at all, but you seem really nice and I'd love for us to be friends" He said. Oh crap, did Chris Landon just ask me out on a date??? OMG!!! I realised that I hadn't answered him in a while, so I quickly just said,
"I'd love to! How about tomorrow at the Chinese restaurant in town?"
"Sounds great. I'll meet you there at 6:30. Night Renee" He said.
"Night Chris" I said before hanging up the phone.

THE NEXT MORNING...

I woke up with my friends throwing pillows at my face, as feathers were flying everywhere.
"This is gonna be a mess to clean up" I said, as they all realised that I was finally awake.
"SO HOW DID IT GO LAST NIGHT WITH CHRIS??? YOU JUST HUNG UP AND WENT TO BED, WE WANT TO HEAR ALL ABOUT IT!!" They all squealed in unison.
"Good morning to you too" I said sarcastically and went out into the kitchen to make some breakfast. I made myself some toast and went back into my room to explain to my friends what happened on the phone to Chris.

A couple of minutes later, I had finished telling them what happened and they were all so excited for me.
"Hey, if it wasn't for me, you two lovebirds would have never met." Chloe said with a smirk.
"Oh shut up, you're just jealous too" I said as everyone else laughed and agreed. It was already 4pm, so I needed to sort out what I was going to wear.
"Ooh, can we help?" My friends all said.
"Ugh, fine" I answered and they all screamed in excitement. I told them to calm down, but it didn't really do much.
After ages of picking out the right dress and the right makeup, I decided to wear my new black dress and heels, with some mascara and blush.
"You're so cute!!" Bianca said.
"Not as cute as Chris" I replied with a smirk. I walked out to tell mum where I was going, and said bye to my friends as I made my way towards the restaurant. It was only a short walk from where I lived, so I thought I might as well walk. Once I got there, I saw a young handsome man sitting inside the restaurant next to the window, waving to me. How did he know I was Renee? Lucky guess, I reckon. I smiled back and walked inside to meet him.
"Hey, you must be Renee" He said, with a shy smile.
"And you must be Chris" I said with a giggle. We both chatted for a while, before ordering our dinner. We shared some fried rice with honey chicken, which costed a total of $42. The waitress gave us the cheque, and Chris and I both reached out to grab it at the same time, as our hands brushed against each other.
"No, it's fine Renee. This was my idea and I would be honoured to pay for our meals." Chris said.
"Are you sure? I wouldn't mind paying" I said.
"No Renee, it's okay. Here" He said and gave the waitress the money for our dinner. What a gentleman.
The night was soon over, and it was time for us to go our separate ways. We walked out onto the street outside the restaurant, and said our goodbyes.
"Chris, thank you so much for tonight. It means a lot to me, and it's not a night that I would ever forget." I said.
"Me either Renee, I would never forget a moment like this." He said, as he held my hand tight in his, and leaned in. The winter air was frosting against our skin, as our lips connected. I wouldn't ever forget this night in a heartbeat.
"Goodnight Chris" I said, as we pulled away from each other.
"Goodnight Renee" Chris said, as our hands disconnected and we separated into the night.
