Jeremy bites his lip as he approaches the looming, red castle, feeling nervous even though Fritz is with him. "F-Fritz...what if we g-get c-caught?"

"If you do, I will run back to the White Kingdom and inform the King of what happened. It would be easy for me to escape" Fritz explains, looking past the moat. surrounding the castle. "Hm...this looks tricky..."

"H-How do w-we get across...?" Jeremy asks quietly, "W-We can't g-go to the b-b-bridge..."

Fritz gasps and points to the left of them in the water, "Look! There's fallen stones there! You can use those to cross!"

The boy looks over and smiles at the discovery, nodding as he quickly makes his way over to the said rocks. He blocks his nose however when a foul stench arises, his eyes widening as a horrible realisation comes over him.

"F-Fritz...t-those aren't r-r-rocks..."

In the water is a large pile of heads, belonging to men, women, and even children who have faced the wrath of the King of Hearts. "O-Oh my god...just don't look at them Jeremy, don't look"

Jeremy shakily nods and takes a deep breath before carefully stepping on one of the heads to make his way across, mumbling small apologies as he makes his way over the water.

Once over, he sighs in relief and looks at the vines clinging to the wall above him, grabbing hold and tugging on them to make sure they're secure. "O-Okay...I can d-do this..."

He gulps as he starts to slowly climb up the wall, using the vines as a rope to pull himself up. He grabs hold of the ledge at the top and groans as he pulls himself up, soon dropping down on the other side and landing with a small thud on the grass.

"O-Ouch..." He mumbles and looks around to see he's in a garden, spotting many red roses littering the garden's bushes. "W-Wow..."

"Now's not the time to be playing with the flowers Jeremy, we have a sword to find!" Fritz says, Jeremy snapping out of his small daydream as he stands and looks around quickly.

He quickly runs towards the castle entrance when he sees no guards, spotting some of the townspeople strangely waving to him with happy smiles on their faces. He waves back slightly to be polite and becomes confused, slowing down as he enters the castle. "Why did n-no one s-s-stop me...?"

"Well...it's because-" Fritz stops when the doors shut behind them, two guards appearing in front of them. "Hey, what're you doing here?" One asks, a spear in their hand as they look at Jeremy in confusion.

"I-I...um..." He stutters and starts to grow nervous, his breathing quickening as the guards await an answer. "Sir-"

Before Jeremy can say anything, Fritz leaps off of his shoulder and pulls out a needle, stabbing one of the guards in the foot and laughing as he runs away. "Catch me if you can~!"

"Grr, get back here intruder!" The second guard yells and they both chase the mouse boy, Jeremy using this diversion as a chance to run off and find the sword himself.

"C-Come on...it has t-t-to be here s-somewhere...!" He whispers to himself, running past a slightly open door only to stop as he hears noises from inside. Curious and confused, he peeks through the door only to freeze in his spot.

It's a large room with two thrones situated at the end of it behind a window, the presumed King of Hearts sitting in his own thrown with someone in a dress on his lap, the two currently kissing lovingly.

Jeremy turns to leave but accidentally pushes on the door, causing for it to squeak loudly. The two at the end of the room look over and the smaller person giggles, hot pink eyes shining through floofy hair just like Jeremy's.
