Delicate breaths against pale skin,

Tears cannot be heard, too quiet,

Sobs cannot be seen, too gentle,

Her beauty undeniable,

His sorrow unmistakable.

Enraged wringing of calloused hands,

Hurt not understood, too deep,

Anger not perceived, too calm,

Her passing absolute,

His fury inescapable.

Hardened stare through bleak eyes,

Life severed, too fragile,

Life stolen, too exposed,

Her worth unvalued,

His revile consuming.

Resolute strides over polished marble,

No reminisce, too abhorrent,

No hope, too wearying,

Her death without meaning,

His resolve.

Uncertain.
