Sunset avenue. it's used to be the best place on Earth to me. But that all changed when I met him. He was the one who changed it all. My life from the beginning used to be perfect. It was amazing. I never thought it would change the way it did.......
"Lauren!!! I asked you to come down here 10 minutes ago!!" my mom yelled up the stairs.
"Just a minute mom!! I'm finishing my makeup!!" I yelled back through my closed door.
I could hear my mom apologizing to our guest who was so patiently waiting. It was the Prom. my date was my boyfriend Josh(normally it would be) . we had been dating for 2 years. Josh was my best friend before we started dating. I had known him since we were 6 , now were 17 ad going to prom together and getting voted schools cutest couple. (he's used to waiting on me)
"I'm ready mom!! here I come!" I yelled from my room. before I walked out I took one last look in the mirror and headed down.
Josh's P.O.V.
I couldn't see her come out of her room but as she walked down the stairs and her image came into the light her mother gasped.
"You look...... A-A- I mean you look amazing!!" I finally stuttered out.
As her mother squealed and took pictures all I could do was stare. She always looked amazing but tonight was unlike any other. She looked amazing. I walked over took her hand in mine and slid the corsage on her small wrist. After about 6 pictures we Left. Throughout the car ride we held hands.
Lauren's P.O.V.
As we arrived at the high school (our school was really big but couldn't afford to rent another place for prom) I felt underdressed. I was wearing a long flowing dress with my hair pulled bak and in curls. I barely had any makeup on and little jewelry. As I looked around I saw people in beautiful long puffy dresses with there hair in tight curls and diamonds or pearls draped around there necks.
Josh stared at me as if I was foreign.
"What?" I asked
"You look amazing"
I couldn't help but smile, he made me so happy.
To think that I'm going to prom with the guy I want to spend the rest I my life with( I know pretty big des idiom right now by hey I'm in love!) josh took my hand as we made our way to the entrance gates. The student council really did a great job considering what they had to work with!
Josh's P.O.V.
As I told her she looked beautiful the smile that I love spread across her face. Her now being happy I took her hand and we walked toward our small school. As we reaches the entrance gates her eyes immediately wandered over every detail like she was studying every detail so as not to forget. we got our hands stamped to show we were students and walked kn. Music was blasting people were dancing and drinks were being served. we found a nice spot to stand/sit if we wanted to and then our song came on. the song that was playing kn the radio when I asked her out. Talking to the Moon by Bruno Mars. I pulled her up from her chair and drug her out to the dance floor. We started to slow dance my hands around her waist her arms draped around my neck. It was just perfect.
