Well let me tell you that the last year of my life was the craziest of my life. (KNOCK ON WOOD!!) First I found out that I was adopted when I was just 6 months old by those who I had thought were my "real" parents and that my real family was mostly dead except my 2nd oldest brother who was taken by some crazy ass Alien who came through some glowing blue cube. I was told that I was selected to be recruited in such an event which was save the world and my brother or die.
I chose to help them save thousands of lives rather than being a coward and hiding. It was also a chance to get rid of some of the anger towards my adoptive parents. I also wanted a chance to use the skills that I taught myself under wraps due to my adoptive parents feeling that I should be a girly girl not wanting to be in the army or working with cars. I also learned that my brother whose name is Clint is one of the world's best archers and one of the best assassins in the world. That was actually inspiring because I am best with my bow and arrows than my guns in my mind.
When I first showed the Director my skills with the weaponry he seemed impressed as well as surprised. I then explained my skills and how I had to hide them from my "parents" because they hated the fact that I liked weapons and wanting to go into the military when I turned 18. I had already graduated from high school when I was 15 but the military refused to take me because of legal liabilities and the fact that my parents refused to let me go. The Director seemed surprised at my knowledge of weapons and how I was determined to help others even though my "adoptive" parents refused to let me go. He even offered me a spot at the agency till he got me accepted into the female ROTC program when I turned 18.
I was glad but I was also worried about what my adoptive parents would think about it since the wanted me to go to college with Sam in 2 years. I asked the one question I was most worried about since my "parents" refused to tell me about being adopted but it also did explain why Sam and I were in so close in age. Director Fury stated that I would stay for the mission and if I wished to I could stay with Clint and some of his "friends" which I later learned was his wife and kids for the summer.
My cover story if I did stay with Clint would be that I had received an internship at Stark Industries as the CEO's personal assistant. I agreed to his terms and he agreed to make sure that after this large mission was complete I never received a mission that would last longer than a couple of days. Especially during the school year so to make the rest a bit shorter we won the battle of New York. I got yelled at by my adoptive parents during a phone call to the tell them about the internship but they were very angry and going on and on about what happened in New York going against all of their rules and how they wanted me back in their house so that they could put some sense in me (ground me eternally). I then decided that enough was enough and I plainly stated that I was old enough to make my own decisions and that I had the right to choose my own future and fate. I then told them that I was taking an internship at Stark Industries as the personal assistant of the companies CEO. That just made things worse to the point that I just had to hang up on them because they were going on about how much trouble I would be in when they got their hands on me. I then destroyed my phone so that I could get away from all of the texts and voicemails they were leaving constantly.
Stark felt that he should replace it with one of his own phones that has many apps that my old one was not able to have. The phone even had Jarvis in it in case of emergencies where I wasn't able to call for help. It had all of the numbers that were on my old phone which didn't help with my idiotic adoptive parents. They were filling up my phone with messages and voicemails insisting on me coming back home to them because they were my "parents" HA if they were I would consider it but was known to them and now me that I was adopted and my real family is just like me.
I chose to return to them on Sam's birthday which was towards the end of school year since it was the beginning of fall I have time to prepare and be ready for anything that may come up at the time. Director Fury stayed true to his word and he got me into the army program with the best of the best in his mind. He even told me that they were actually as good as any agents as well, but they were in the army to support their families in the way that they did best. He even told me that if I needed help to find a place to stay at away from the childhood home I had grown up in just to give him a call and he would set something up immediately. HE even made me an agent but since I was underage I was considered an intern and he even gave me level 7 access and let me read about some super-duper highly classified agency that was called Sector-7 since he told me that he had a feeling I was going to be meeting them soon.
But when I got "home" not only was I going to be dealing with my super crazy ass "parents" but some agency that was probably going to meet me soon. I then realized that I was just going from one war right into another.
