Chapter 14

Mey sat down on her bed staring around her whole bedroom. She smiled and chuckled. She suddenly thought. She has school tomorrow. She got her Jansport bag and stuffed them with school supplies. She found the school supplies at her table. Her dad must have bought it. Her dad is still at work though.

She stuffed her last notebook when a sudden crash happened around her window. When she turned around, she saw the whole glass window broke down. She quickly ran there avoiding all the shattered glass and looked out the window.

She so no one on the dark empty neighborhood. But she saw a brick next to her. She picked it up and noticed a small paper wrapped at the back of it. She untied the string and read the note:

'Hello my dear.. How are you doing so far? Are you enjoying your new home? Do you miss me?'

She panicked as she read the whole note. At the back of the paper, she saw another note:

'Don't worry, I'll fetch you soon enough and put you out of there.'

She threw the brick out her window and crumpled the note. She tossed it in the bin. She started breathing faster. 'Who could be chasing me? .. Could it be him?' She thought as she paced around the room. She shaked her head out of thought and got gloves. She picked the shattered glass on the floor and and threw them on a separate bin.

She immedietly called her dad and told him what happened. Her dad said he would rush home. After a couple of waiting minutes, a bang closed the door and Mey's dad rushed to her room. He saw Mey sitting confused at her bed staring at the window. "Are you alright?" He asked.

"Yeah.. I just don't understand. He followed me here?" Referring to Jason. "I don't know. But I want you to be careful, especially tomorrow. You're going to school and I'm going to take you there so you'll be safe, ok?" He said patting her daughter's shoulder. "Thanks dad." She muttered and hugged her dad.

Her dad called some mechanic to fix the window tomorrow since it's already late at night. Her dad put a temporary cover then covered it with a curtain. He got the bin with the glass and carried it with him. He waved goodbye and left Mey on her room.

Mey slowly went to bed and had many questions in her mind. But she managed to sleep.

On the other hand, Tom parked his car by the garage of his house. Went out and locked it. Then he went inside his house. He inhaled deeply and exhaled. His legs kinda hurt from all the running and dancing stuff.

"Hey! You're home!" His sister greeted. He waved and smiled. "You look tired. What up?" Her sister asked. "Oh you know, work and stuff?" He said playfully. "Stuff?". "Fine. I hanged out with a girl named Mey. I met her a week ago. And we went to the arcade a while ago." He explained.

"Aww.. Really? Is she beautiful? Nice? Kind? Smart? Se-". "Is this a question and answer portion? Because I'm not in a pagaent to answer all those. Well... She is kind, nice and beautiful." He answered. "Is she your girlfriend?" She asked. "Ye- I mean no, of course not. You do know very well I'm not looking for a relationship right now." He said as he turned red and turned around.

"Oh stop that. You're blushing aren't you?" She asked. "No.. I'm tired. I need to go sleep already." He said and walked the stairs. "Can I see her sometime?" She asked. Tom stopped in his tracks and answered "Of course.. Maybe next week or something. " he said, smiled and continued to go up the stairs and went to his room.

He flopped down and tweeted "Goodnight everyone!" And pressed tweet. He layed his phone down and went to sleep.
