Cold Fantasy [G.B.D]

Chapter 6

I turned and looked at him, I bit my lip and said "Hi I'm Kylie" .
He looks up and put his hand one inch closer "I'm sorry about how I acted on Tuesday, I was—"
"It's okay." Damn I replied to fast.
The teacher interrupted us and told us about our assignment

When it was time i shifted towards him and before I could say anything he pushed the microscope towards me "Laddies first." I grabbed the microscope and looked inside "Prophase" I said, I already new a little about it.
"May I?" Grayson pulled it inch by inch towards himself. He looked for literally two seconds and said "Prophase".
"Like I said" I wrote it down in my notebook.
Next he went first he looked inside and said "Anaphase". He was already writing down, "May I?" I asked
He gestured towards it. I looked in and said "Anaphase".
He laughed and repeated "like I said".
We already had experience with this so we finished early. After we were done he asked me a couple of questions I will never understand why. The first was,
"Are you liking the rainy whether?"
"You're asking me about the whether..."
He looked down "Uh yeah.. I guess I am".
I looked at him and said "I'm from Bakersfield, I don't really like rainy whether ".
"Why are you in Forks then ? It's the rainiest place in the Country."
"I'm here visiting my Father"
"Why, do you not live with him?"
"No I don't, I live with my mom there divorced, I'm visiting him. While her fiancé Rick plays baseball."
"And this makes you unhappy?"
"No, I'm fine"
"I'm sorry there divorced" he mumbled.
"Everything's okay, I don't have a big problem with the split problems"
"I'm Sorry I just find it... Very.. Hard to read you." He walked up right on cue for the bell.

He then walked me too my locker asking me questions about my mom and dad. And then when he was almost done I said "Hey did you get contacts".
He stared at me blankly and replied "No" and he looked away.
"But they were gold last time I saw you.. Now there black."
He looked away edgy and said "it's the florescence" and he swiftly walked away into the crowd of people.

I then headed to my truck thinking this was unreal. But the burning question of why he acted they way he acted on Tuesday. I drove home waiting for Monday.
