He looked at her as she untangled the bright twinkling lights. It was all while she was in a state of both anger and hysteria. With the bright green ball of conundrum in her hands, she swore under her breath; breathing heavily through her irritation. Christmas was something she needed, something she couldn’t live without. For him he had never had what she called a “true Christmas”. He had never had the all important White Christmas, nor actually had he had ever seen snow. Now, the two opposites had collided in their very own apartment in a city that had snow. The excitement was building everyday as it drew near.
The stressfulness of everything was clearly getting to her. He tried to comfort her by sitting down on the floor next to her, placing his arm on top of her shoulder and gently forcing her to lean back against the couch. Even in this mood though she still managed to be elegant and radiant to him. Even in all this stress, she had never seemed more ravishing. She reminded him of the angel placed on top of their fake Christmas tree, glowing.
"What is it?" She finally asked grabbing his hand, causing him to snap out of his trance.
He grinned and looked down. He didn’t know how to put his thoughts into words. With a soft shrug of my shoulders he simply replied: “Don’t worry… It’s…it’s nothing.”
"Come on! Tell me," she sweetly said. She swiveled and now sat in front of him, never letting go of his hand in the process.
He played with her hands for a moment, avoided eye contact while a flurry of butterflies swirled in his stomach. He needed to find the right words, or even action at this point for his perfect girl.
"Casp, you’re scaring me abit". He finally glanced up and looked into her eyes. She was confused and beginning to shake a little.
"It’s just…ugh how do I say this?..umm…you’re just so…beautiful". She looked away from me and smiled a bit. She tucked a piece of her long auburn hair behind her ear but didn’t speak.
"And, well…to me the most beautiful thing in my life." Then she smiled once more, but she still didn’t speak.
And suddenly, everything that he had ever wanted say or even think can rushing out all at once. She jumped into his lap and wrapped her arms around him. Tears of joy rushed down her face as she laughed and giggled. Her body against his made him feel happy and put the most wonderful joy into him that rushed through his body. Suddenly the giggling stopped.
“Oh my god, SNOW!” She shouted as she got up and ran to the window.
“Come here, come quick it’s your first snow”! She ran back to him, grabbed his hand. Wow. Snow, for the first time in his life. He had never imagined it like this. The white powder flowed freely in the air. It was so delicate, reminding him of his girl in every way.
“Well it might be beautiful, but its at no contest with you,” he said as he cupped her face in his hand and slowly bent down to kiss those soft lips. - C <3
