Don't you hate it. Don't you just hate it when you didn't do it. Or you didn't want to do it. Like when your lying on the floor, your face is red with someone else's blood and it's snowing in Brooklyn. That type of situation. All you wanted was a ride for free and you... You know what, let's start from the top. It was a Friday, raining, windy. A typical October 21st day. 2016 was a new year 10 months ago, and it barely feels like 10 hours of it. Before I go on, I'm not a cynical type of guy. Being 18 and not being able to spell "friend" properly isn't exactly a cool guy. You gotta be smarter as a guy now. Especially when your black.👌🏿You gotta work extra hard and triple the time. But I digress. Eight periods of tests, quizzes and your gonna find the value of sleep. It was never easy though. You got college classes to juggle, your ex is in every one of your classes, and you still think it's your job to impress her. Let me guess, your sitting down on your phone saying either "this isn't my life" or "relatable." Right? Well keep sitting, it's never hard to find a glitch in the system. Anyway so back to my life. I lost my card with only 78 cents on it, but that would have helped the situation. I was calm and respectful. All I said was, "I'm sorry sir I don't have my card with me, can I please get a ride?" And then I got this whole lecture on how to live🤔. Like... Your a bus driver! Your only knowledge is on the road. But he said one thing. One thing that stuck with me. He said, "Forget Those Who Forgot You, But Never Forget The Forgotten.👌🏿" Yeah I'm not sure what he meant either until thirty minutes later. A white car with a Man in black clipped the bus with force that didn't match the size of the car. WTF! That was all he could say. The driver had 3 simple words. What The Fuck! He stopped eventually, when he got shot. It was a rush! I acted with instinct. Every bus driver should have a knife handy. This one did. I got it and slashed the shooter in his face. Yeah the guy in black. Let's just say he wasn't the fastest gun reloader. Then it happened. I went for his neck. And yeah I killed him. He had it coming. His Artery burst with the impact. Blood everywhere. Color of the day: Red🔴. So we're back to the start of this ride. I was laying down. Blood faced. Rain turned to snow in what seemed like an instance. White. So pure. All I thought was... The driver. He didn't get to see the snow. I was to late. He was THE DRIVER! All he would do was drive you to your destination. He was forgotten, but I would never forget him.
