Sutter Ave. Black Escalade. 5 AM
"Yes Sir, we have the glitch!" said the man in the black glasses. "What the hell man. I barely know you for 3 hours and your taking me somewhere that I don't even know about. Who the hell are you, where am I going, and what is a glitch?!" I asked. He looked at me with a smug smile. The type of smile you get when you don't know if he's gonna say the truth or a lie. "Alright kid. Back in 1993, your mother, Ms. Lilian Barton, married a man named Gregory Henry. In '94, they saw it fit to have a baby." He said. "But I'm 18. I was born in '98." I said. "You didn't let me finish." He said.
"5 months into her pregnancy, they got involved in a car accident. Her womb was damaged, but you weren't. However your father who drove the car, wasn't found in the wreckage, and according to state records, he went missing." He said. Yeah, I never knew my father. He went missing, right? No. Nobody just doesn't have a vicious car accident, and then goes missing like he crawled away from his wife and 5 month old son. "Your mother was badly injured. Even though you weren't affected, you had to be transplanted to another body. A woman can only hold her child in her stomach for nine months at a time. For you it took extra time for you to develop, giving you extra abilities. Five women hosted you. Four other women, then your mother included. Each of them gave you untold abilities, that we still have to find out about you." He said. This all hit me like a train to the face. I never knew about all of this. I began to question things like, do I really know my mother, and am I some type of super hero. I was being told the truth, and I was dared to find out more.
"Don't you understand kid? You should have died in that accident in '94. The amount of times you were transplanted, should have killed you. You even survived a bus accident with raining bullets coming in your direction. And somehow, someway, you survived. Life is a system , Lamar. You've been glitching through it your whole life. That's why your the G L I T C H!" He said. Devastated. It was hard to comprehend all of this, but I did. That's probably one of my "super abilities." "By the way," the guy said. "I'm Nick Seifer. Pronounce it how you want. We all work for The S.Y.S.T.E.M. The strategic youth system for troubled, experienced, malware." He said. "That's a long and weird name you guys got." I said. "Yeah, we know. But believe it or not, your not the only one that is a so called "Glitch." He said. Great. More surprises. It's 5:15 in the morning. I was dying for a bacon, egg, and cheese. We pulled up at a stop sign with a police car next us. All of us in each car took a glance at each other. The only difference was, the policeman said, "That's him, Open Fire!" Next thing I knew, there was a bullet in my hands.
