There was no other way to describe him other than perfection. The way he would let his curly brown hair fall over his face, as if it would hide him from the dangers of the world. He was so innocent, at least that's what I thought. I wil lnever forget the day that everything changed.

*Flashback*

He was slammed against the locker, a loud bang ran through the hallway. Yet he showed no sign of pain. Nathan grabbed his shoulder and flipped him over, so that his chest was pressed against the locker wall. He grabbed the green-eyed boy by the arm and push it up his back. Nathan pushed it higher and higher until it was almost to the breaking point. Only then did his face contort into one of pain. Still, he made no sound. When Nathan let go of his arm, he just stood there waiting for the rest of what he knew was coming. As Nathan drove his fist into the boys stomach, I decided that I couldn't watch anymore. I made my way over to them and pushed Nathan away.

"Oh, you're gonna try to help are you?" He asked in a mocking tone. Nathan took a step closer and pushed me into his friend Mark's restraining arms. I was forced to watch as Nathan shoved a fist into his stomach. After a few more punches, he started to cough up blood. That is when I really started screaming and trying to get out of the human handcuffs I was in. Nathan shoved him to the ground and began kicking him in any available place. Tears started to stream down my face and I asked myself why I cared so much. We hardly knew each other, we'd talked a few times but that was it.

The moment that Mark released my arms, him and Nathan were running down the hall and out of the building. I ran over to where he was laying and knelt next to him. He started to cough up more blood as I hooked my arm around his waist and swung his arm over my shoulder to help steady him.

"Alright. Would you rather that I take you to my place or your's? Either way, I'm going to take care of you, it doesn't matter where we are." I told him. He tilted his head down to look me in the eyes.

"Mine probably. My mum is out of town and my sister staying at her friends. I don't know if your parents are home, but if they are, I wouldn't want them seeing me like this." He replied, his voice sounding rough. I nodded and agreed that his place might be best, but I couldn't shake the feeling that everything would change tonight.
