"Are you going to Brexton by yourself?" my friend Shiela asked me while we are waiting for our thesis mentor.
"Yeah, Maddie was supposed to come with me. But she has an examination today so it's just me." I was really hoping that Maddie would accompany me because to be quite honest I'm also scared going alone.
"Can't Tate take you there? You know the stories about Brexton. It might not be safe going there by yourself." she asked again.
"I'll be fine, Shiels. I just need to submit this letter so that I could schedule an interview with their director." I know she is just worried about me but I need this interview to really support my thesis.
"Well, alright. Just be careful okay? You do know the stories there right?" she looked at me anxiously.
"How could I forget those stories?" I answered her teasingly. She slap my shoulder and said,
"You either get out or you don't."
Our thesis mentor suddenly appeared and asked Shiela to present her thesis first. Since today was our mock defense everybody was required to present their thesis outputs. This is the day that I'm happy that my last name is Videl, I get to present my work last.
While Shiela is presenting her thesis. I can't keep that little quote of hers out of my mind.
"You either get out or you don't."
