6 months earlier,
10:35am, Port of Santa Cruz,Daniel Geller, the presidential candidate was bound to visit his maternal home. After months of heavy campaigning he felt the need of a little rest, his mother always had this soothing calmness which he needed at the moment.
His most trusted aid, his campaign manager Carter, came to drop him off. "The tides are changing, the cartels won't be happy with your aggressive stance. Not as your manager but as a dear friend of yours, let me tell you, i adore your courage, but am concerned for your well being" said carter.Daniel patted his friend, with a grin on his face he said"Carter, somethings in this world are worth a price paying for."
As Daniel sat in his Mercedes, and was on his way to the airport, something within Carter's heart felt strange. He sensed danger.
As Daniel's Mercedes followed by his caravan of police vehicles reached the city square, they were suprised to be stopped by an unexpected blockade. Thugs, as what they appeared, wearing black masks had halted their convoy.
Daniel heard a series of loud blasts , followed by total silence, as though he had become deaf. He could only see the devastation around him, windshield covered with blood, pieces of body all over the car and the dark intoxicating smoke which was chocking him to death. He stepped out of his car, numb, unable to understand what had just happened around him. 2 men he had earlier seen through the window, taking out their masks say" The cartel sends its greetings, dasvidania!". They emptied their SMG's into his chest and left with the same swiftness they had arrived.
Daniel Geller the strongest candidate to the Presidential chair was now dead. The Russian Cartel had shown its powers to the people who doubted it.
