"mother" I see my mother standing in front of me, I try to reach her but hear a scream, and than I wake up. Natsuki! I say in my head, I hurriedly go out of my bed and run to the direction where the scream came from. "Natsuki!" I scream seeing her on the floor crying in the cafeteria, I look to the right and see two guys about my age
"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?!" I shout at them protectively standing in front of Natsuki. "Oh your friend came, little monster" one of them smirks, when I heard him say this something just snapped in me "what did you just say..." I look at him with an angry but at the same time emotionless expression "I

A--" I didn't want to hear this word "SHUT UP!!!!" After those words I punched him in the face I grabbed a knife from a nearby table and was about to hit him but than heard an angry voice from the other side of the cafeteria "what is happening here?!" A disgusting woman was coming closer to me "drop that knife young woman!" "B-but sister Christine" I tried to say something to her but she interrupted "what happened here?! Again you are attacking innocent kids?!" She asks with a horrifying expression "yes, I was just playing with this little mons-- girl and she suddenly attacked me" The guy says with an innocent expression on his face pointing at Natsuki
"you little!" I say but am interrupted again "enough of it! You're coming with me" she says pointing at the door, I sigh and go with her. When we are in her office sister Christine takes her metallic ruler and says those words that I am familiar with "put your hands on the table" I just silently obey her and she starts hitting my hands with a ruler, the pain pierced almost instantly because my last injuries didn't go yet.
Natsuki P.O.V
As Haru-chan went to sister Christine's office again I hurriedly stand up and wipe my tears
I look at that guy who was making fun of me angrily and then run to the clinic. "hello?" I call and one of the nurses comes out "hello Natsuki dear, what do you need today? Is your eye okay?"
"Yes I'm fine! Can I have some bandages for Haru-chan?" I ask happily "today again?" She asks as she brings the bandages to me "yes sadly, some boys from other department were teasing me for being a..." I answer with disappointment in my voice "yeah I know" she answers "but we have to deal with it because this is our world right? Monsters and humans living together" I ask and take the bandages from her "you're right, now go and save Haru" she says with a wink, I smile and go to my and Haru-chan's room.
Haru P.O.V
That was more horrible than last time, ugh! Why do I have to go through all department just to reach my room?! My hand are hurting so badly I thought,
throughout my way everyone in the Orphanage was looking at me like I was some kind of maniac. When I finally opened the door to my room (with a leg) I saw Natsuki standing there with bandages in her hands "Natsuki!" I said and ran up to her "are you okay?!" I asked and hugged her "I'm fine Haru-chan! but what about you?" I looked at my red hands all in scars "I guess those bandages are for me Natsuki" I asked her with sadness written all over my face (not literally) "don't worry Haru-chan! It'll be okay once I tie these around your hands!" She looked at me with determination "yeah right" I smiled at her but inside I was saying you know bandages won't fix these scars too right.
(Oh my god I totally forgot to introduce myself!!! So I'm doing it now. Hello I'm Haru and I live in hell, and by hell I mean 'sister Christine's Orphanage', with only one glint of light, my best friend Natsuki. In this world where monsters and humans live together My father and mother abandoned me at the age of 4 and I've been brought to this orphanage, there wasn't enough food for everyone so kids just started to take food from others. Natsuki was brought here 5 years after me when I was able to survive a little and we became friends, because she was a monster and is blind for one eye other kids started to make fun of her. Oh, and that woman you read about before is her demon highness sister Christine.)
Natsuki P.O.V
"Haru-chan this is a bell for dinner let's go faster!" I exclaimed when I heard a sound of bell "yeah, yeah okay, let's go" she replied lazily and both of us went to the cafeteria. We took our food and sat on the last table in a corner "Welp this isn't a best menu but what choice do we have" Haru-chan says with a sigh "true" I sigh as well but then someone takes all of my food and goes to the other table in front laughing "h-hey this is my food" I protest looking up "who cares!!!! I am beautiful and beautiful people have to survive" another human girl says laughing at me "w-why do you do this" I say with tears filing up my eyes but than I hear Haru-chan's voice "here, take my food" she says giving her piece of bread to me "b-but what will you eat?" I ask wiping my tears "nothing! I can survive without food for a day" she says with a wink, I nod and start eating. By the time I finish everyone is already going to their rooms and departments, me and Haru-chan are going to our room silently.
Haru P.O.V
We open the heavy door, go to change our cloth and go to bed. Finally all the lights were out and everyone was sleeping when Natsuki asks "Haru-chan are you sleeping?"
"No" I answer "can you sing for me?" She asks "that song you always sing when I can't sleep"
"Of course" I say and start singing
You are my sunshine

So please don't take

(Idc if it's an undertale song I just like it that's all) As I finish I can hear Natsuki sleeping soundly, I smile weakly and drift to sleep myself.
