Prologue

Fire, it was everywhere, the screams tore through the painful silence, that had surrounded the village during that frigid late night. "Mommy! Daddy? Kujo? Where are you?" I screamed into the night. I heard my friends, neighbors, and family scream in pain and agony as they either burned to death or were killed brutally by the savage rogue ninja's that were invading the village. There was nothing I could do I stood there frozen, helpless, scared; I shook my head pulling myself out of my trance and continued running dodging shuriken and katana's that were being thrown my way.

" Kira!" I heard someone scream, I turned around to see my older brother Kujo holding a pack in his hand, I threw my arms around and sobbed like a new born baby, " Kujo, where's mommy and daddy?" I asked afraid of the answer I might receive. " I don't know, Kira, but you have to run far, far away from here and never look back," he told me solemnly, " but, but Kujo what about you!?" I whispered brokenly. "I'll be just fine, Kira-Kat and when this is all over I promise I'll come get you, okay?" Kujo murmured, " Okay" I said softly. He handed me the pack and pushed me on my way, I ran as fast as my tiny four year old legs could take me, I started running up the Jirakaya Mountain that bordered my village until I reached a ledge. I fell to the ground, from the ledge where I was sitting I could see my village perfectly, or what was l left of my village at least.

"Momma," I said softly as I say her battling off a group of rogue ninja's all by herself, I wanted to scream at someone to help her, but I couldn't or else the ninja's would know my hiding place. One of the ninja's snuck up behind her and stabbed her in the back with a katana. "Momma," I said as tears poured down my young face. Her body fell to the ground and landed with a loud thud, papa then let out a heart- breaking battle cry killing the ninja's one by one trying to avenge his dead wife, but there were to many and he was soon stabbed in the heart with a large wicked looking blade. "Papa," I whispered softly, the tears now running down my face more quickly. Slowly all of the villagers were killed, our village was small and peaceful , yet it was extremely powerful, I had know idea what kind of monsters would do such a thing. My eyes searched through the dead bodies on the ground, desperately hoping that Kujo wasn't one of them, my heart stopped as I saw a familiar face covered in blood, ash, and dirt, it was Kujo. "Lord Orochimaru, we have searched the whole village and there are know signs of the girl," one of the nameless murderers said. " AHHHH! You fools how could you let her get away?!" The snake like man punched his hand through the mans chest and pulled out his heart smirking evilly. "Well I'm sure we will come across her in our travels sometime, so we might as well go, I guess this night isn't a total loss though because we were able to take down the strongest clan in the world and their village with them," the snake man said thoughtfully ending his sentence with an evil spin chilling laugh. He then rounded up his army of killers and ran to towards the west.

As soon as the men were gone I stood up and surveyed the ruin of my village, I took one more look at the village remembering all the happy times I had there, " Goodbye Village Hidden in the Shadows," I murmered letting my words float away with the wind. I stood there for hours thinking, I then let out a bloodcurdling scream, " WHY KUJO, WHY??? YOU PROMISED ME YOU WOULD BE OKAY.... you promised..."

My brother Kujo had taught me taijutsu, while my dad had taught me how to use many dangerous ninja weapons and a whole array of ninjutsu's, my mother being a medic ninja taught me how to have perfect chakra control in order to heal someone, then my uncle Saiya taught me the art of genjutsu. Much to every ones surprise I also received the clans kekkei genkai, which was extremely rare for anyone in the clan to have let alone master at such a young age. Whenever I would ask my parents why I needed to learn this stuff they would tell me that I was very powerful and many people would try and kill me or use me, or even experiment on me,for having so much power, so I needed to know how to defend myself from those people.

I didn't save them, I wasn't strong enough, it's all my fault, if I hadn't been born none of this would have happened I thought sadly to myself. Next time I will be ready for him, next time I will avenge my clans deaths and kill Orochimaru.

I wiped my tears away and continued walking up the mountain pass, I had know idea what I was going to do, where I was going to go, and how I would deal, but I know one thing I am Kira Sora the last surving member of the Sora Clan and the Village Hidden in the Shadows, and I will survive.
