Hey, it's me Gracey. ✋Im 20 years old and I'm turning 21 in a few more days time. Cant wait !
I'll actually be free to cut my hair short and dye it red and black. ( Because for your information, my mum doesnt accept that. It's just against her culture or something like that). And im hoping that with all the money I've been working hard for - for the past 15 years, I'll be able to go to korea for the first time and pursue my passion and dream.
But anyways, heyya. I'm gonna take you through my life story. Hope you enjoy ! 😍✊✋❤ Annyeong.....
Well, actually, I am already.
You see, currently, at this precise moment that you are reading this book now. I'm actually working at a coffee shop called StarBucks in New Zealand.
Oops! I forgot to formally introduce myself.
Hi, Im Gracey. Im a korean-kiwi. Im korean but I was born in New Zealand.
All my life, my parents and I have been living in New Zealand. It truly is a beautiful country over here. There's so much greenery and nature surrounding us. This country only holds about 4 Thousand People.....whereas in the U.S or Korea, there are millions and billions of people. So here this country is like a town.
But what I love the most about this country is that everyone is like family. Whenever you come to NZ and whoever you are, no matter what culture you are or what colour you are or language you speak, you are always treated as a brother, sister, aunty, uncle or friend. No one here is against each other. NZ is a country who looks after each and everyone who is in NZ.
But yeah. Im raised in NZ. So I speak fluent English. My parents sound so terrible at English but they're doing good - kinda. Most times, they prefer speaking their Native tongue which is Korea. And I also speak korea but not much though because NZ is english. 😂😂
Anyways, that's one side of me. So yeah, im currently working at a coffee shop. The staff here are really nice and cool. And so are the customers. Everyone, is as I said before, like family.
"Hey Gracey!" Lucas called from upstairs. (Just so you know, our coffee shop has 2 levels. The bottom level is where our customers are. The top level is our staff members offices and stocks and all those store stuff)
I looked up at Lucas. "Yo, waddup?!" Im boyish too so yeah, mind the talk. Hehehehe 😂😂 Lucas, by the way, is like an older brother to me. We pretty much tell each other our deepest secrets and feelings. We're such a cool duo. He knows my dreams and passions. Weaknesses and strengths. But he's really supportive and caring for me.
"You gotta come and see this! They're promoting audition shows for Show Me The Money! Quick come!" He practically, rushed me to leave what I was doing and watch whatever he just said. So I quickly cleaned up what I was doing before running up the short staircase upstairs to Lucas.
He looked at me with excitement in his eyes. Then he looked away at a tv that was showing some things. As I wwalked closer, I recognized not only the theme song that was playing, but also the contents that were showing in the TV. "OMO ! That's Show Me The Money" I walked closer to the TV and paid attention to every detail that came through the tv and the speakers.
"Annyeoghaseyo! To all of you unknown but talented rappers out there, in korea or not, we welcome you to audition for the Show Me The Money show to become a BIGSTAR rapper here in Korea....." the host spoke. "Auditions open at 10am in Seoul. The auditions are held at the Seoul Performance Stadium where all contestants will be judged by 6 of the top rappers here in Korea such as Tablo, Paltoalo, and Jay Park. You will be judged based on your rap style, rap singing, and lyrics performance. So if you think you got the talent, show up at the auditions next Monday. Dont be late! Get in or get out!" The host spoke before the advertisement turned off and switched to a health-related tv advertisement.
