The 100th Annual Hunger Games

As I heard the gun shot, my heart skipped a beat. i knew my life would end here. Its over. But i took a final breath and jumped in the water. The water was pretty cold. people swimming by me faster then ever, and fear in their eyes. I couldn't find my partner, Ali Anywhere. But i was doing alot of searching and not enough swimming, and made it to shore last. As everyone scrambled to get their weapons on shore, i grabbed a sword, the only thing left. But hoped for a bow. The only chance of me winning the games is if i attack from a distance. one guy beside me ran up to me, his face looked very rough, and he Looked very rugged. and in fear, held my sword out. so he backed off, cowardly as he said, "Your going down" and jumped into the water swimming back to the other side. I did a quick search for a bow, and saw that there was an old, damaged bow in the corner, with some sticks with a sharp thing on top. i assumed were arrows. They weren't in very good shape, but i was desperate. very desperate. so picked them up and ran. as i got to the other side, (Surprised i even made it this far) I started looking for Ali. i knew she would be hiding in the trees. Before i was walking, but now i found myself running. faster then usual. i didn't want to scream out her name, because i was afraid someone else would pop out. after all the running i lied down, tears rushing down my affrighted face. Then i saw a shadow. or what looked like a shadow. i felt my body cauterize as i stood up in fear. i swung out my sword just in case, and heard a gentle voice, "Nick?" Said the voice. "Is that you?" The voice sounded like it was spoken by an angel. a girl angel. But then I realized, it was my angel! "Ali?" I said back. She poked her head through the trees and said, "Nick!!" with a cute, delicate smile. She came through the trees. her face was very graceful. her brown hair with blonde locks was so flawless it looked like it came from a princess. She had The prettiest Brown eyes, and lips that were made for kissing. My breath was taken. all i could do was cry some more. she ran up to me and gave me the biggest hug. and of course, i hugged her back.

"Where have you been Nick?" questioned Ali "I looked everywhere for you!" I looked her straight in the eye and replied, "I was looking for you too. I was scared too, just like you." Ali stared at him for a while. then she looked back and whispered in Nicks ear, "I... I killed someone Nick" She started tearing up. I held her hand tightly and whispered back, "Don't worry, its oka-" I heard something or even worse, someone, in the leaves. I pulled out my broken bow and Ali whispered angrily, "Your gonna protect us with THAT?" "It was the only bow i could find." Said Nick, In a shaky voice. he put what appeard to be an arrow in and aimed at the bush. And out jumped the man i saw earlier, but this time he had an iron mace. The man went straight for Ali. "DON'T TOUCH HER" I screamed in my most fierce voice, it wasn't too fierce, I'm a teen, after all. and shot my arrow and aimed straight through his head. A critical hit. Ali started screaming, but i made her to stop. i Pulled my arrow out from his head. then i looked at Ali and said, "There, now we both killed someone." Ali looked at me astonished, like she never knew i could do something like that. then, a huge ship came down and lifted him away. We both watched him fly away. Then i looked at Ali.  She walked towards me slowly and said, "Do you love me?" I looked at here confused "What?" I said. "Do you love me?" she repeated. I knew her for ever. we went to school together. she was one of the more popular girls and i was one of the unpopular kids. I always had a crush on her and would do anything for her. But she liked The cooler guys that played soccer. i liked soccer, but was terrible at it. Ali is actually very good at soccer. Again, She said, "Do you LOVE me?" I looked at her and replied, "Yes. I Love you. Very much." She looked at me with a smile and Said, "Then tell the world you love me." I walk up to her. And i lean towards her slowly and whisper in her ear, "I love you" Ali backed off slowly. then she replied, "Why did you say it to me?" I looked at her and smiled almost as beautiful as she did and said, "You are my world."

After that we just stared at each other. This went on a while until i said, "We better get going, we have to find food before it gets late" She Replied, "Yeah... Food".  We searched through the forest and found a couple hogs, some chickens and fifteen berries. We argued a while on who should gets to eat the last berry for a couple minutes, it was just constant, and we finally agreed that we split it. we walked to the beach to see a couple of people sitting in the water. we hid in the bushes so they don't find us. Soon it got dark. and Ali offered to be lookout, but i insisted. a couple hours in, i got really tired. i thought of closing my eyes but feared the worst for Ali, so that kept me up. I saw something fall from the sky, it looked like a Christmas present with a parachute. it landed in my lap. there was a note, The note said, Merry Christmas ~General George. General George is the one that holds The Hunger Games for Canada. Everybody Hates him. Even the Mayor. but sadly, General George has more power then the mayor, and cant stop the games. General George is a little chubby, grey curly hair, a tuxedo that surprisingly fits him very well. his face is covered in warts, his eyes look like they were punched a lot, and his mouth looks like it was slapped on with glue and tape. This year, He Choose our area as the one where people will go to the games. And out of all people, Me and ali were picked. I Shook Ali awake. "Ali wake up!" i said. She got up quick, like she wasent even sleeping, "What? what is it?" She whispered back. "look what i found" We opened the present together and found two water bottles. they were full. "WATER!!!" we both screamed. we screamed a little to loudly, because it woke everyone up. in the distance you can hear someone say, "what was that" "it sounded like a kid". Me and Ali panicked. We probably doomed ourselves. we saw a group of people walking toward us. there had to be at least 50 people there. We were terrified. We Wouldn't stand a chance against that many people. I tried to find my bow, but left it somewhere and forgot where. the group got closer, i quickly searched and searched for my bow and i hopelessly stopped. I went up to Ali and Whispered in her ear, Goodbye. we sad down and hugged each other in fear as they approached us. I could hear him right in front of us and hugged Ali tighter. I peeped my eye out just to see them. but they didn't pull out a sword or a bow or a mace or anything. one of the people in the group walked right up to me and held out his hand. then he said, "Welcome to the revolution"
