The New Neighbour (1)

In front of the door, I was shaking. What should I say? How do I start the conversation?
My dad had told me to introduce myself to the the new neighbours, and when my dad says something it's better to do it straight away.
I hated doing this, I'm not the social type of person, I'm extremely shy, and when I have to talk to girls it just gets really awkward.
My thoughts were interrupted by the sound of an opening door. I looked up. The girl was leaning against the door. She looked older than me, around 17. She had dirty blonde hair, she was wearing a black and red checkered flannel that was over a white tight top.
She had brown boots and black jeans. There she was, with an annoyed face she growled, before I could say anything :
"What do you want?" She said frowning at me.
I had no idea what to say
"Hi, My name's Ethan. I'm 15"
"So?..."
I explained myself :
"Im your new neighbour, welcome to the neighbourhood."
"Were you forced to say this?" she said rolling her eyes.
"Yeah, kind of." I answered, embarrassed.
"Thank you I guess,... bye." She said quickly as she was closing the door.
I stopped the door and asked her curiously: "What's your name?"
By the look of her face, I didn't really think she would answer.
"Why would I tell you?" She asked with irritation.
"I don't know, why not?" I just wanted to know her name, is that too much to ask ?
"Fine. My name's Spencer." She snapped back.
Before I could say anything else, she slammed the door right in my face.
She was feisty, but not in a good way.
I turned around, and realised it was already dark, so I walked a few houses and arrived home. Our houses were separated by a few other houses.
"Dad" I called as I put my coat on the hanger.
"Ethan, I told you I'm working, I have to get back to the station. I ordered Chinese noodles for you." He said as he packed his bag.
"Thanks, when will you be back?"
"Very late, don't wait for me." He stated as he put his coat on.
"Bye." I said, but it was too late, he was already outside.
My dad was a police officer, he worked in the federal bureau of investigation.

I turned on the TV and ate my noodles as I watched my favourite series, the walking dead.
After a while, I realised it was already 12 am so I decided to go to bed.

What's that sound?....
A squeaky window opening woke me up from my sleep. Before I looked around, I turned to my right and turned on my phone: 4:27 am
"Hi...Are you Ethan?" Said a familiar voice hiding in the dark.
"Spencer? What the fuck are you doing here?" I asked surprisingly.
"SHHH!"
"Fine I'll be quiet, but tell me what you're doing."
"...My parents are fighting, I don't like it when they fight.." Spencer explained sadly.
I stared at her, she looked like such a rough girl, I doubted that she would be sad about her parents fighting.
"Fine." She admitted
"My parents took away my phone because they say that my friends are a bad influence, so I was thinking of borrowing yours."
Was she serious?...
She breaks into my house from my window and wants to "borrow" my phone.
"I think you mean steal." I told her, displeased.
"Yes, you got me. I'm sorry, but can you please borrow me your phone??" She said, annoyed.
"After you tried to steal it? NO! Now could you please leave my room, I want to sleep." I said angrily, but still trying to whisper.
"Please?" Spencer said rolling her eyes.
"Ok, but give it back to tomorrow, if you don't I'll tell your parents that you broke into my house and tried to steal my phone." I informed her, before handing her the phone.
"Are you threatening me? If you are, it's not working. Bye" she jumped out the window with my phone in her hand and I didn't see her again.
My room was on the 2nd floor, it was kind of high. She jumped at least 6m,
That's impressive.
I couldn't go back to sleep after that.
I should've been really angry, but I couldn't. Spencer was different. I never met a girl like her.

The buzzing sound of my alarm was killing me, did I have school today?
With all the drama yesterday, I couldn't even remember.
I looked to my right and I was accurate, my alarm showing : 6:31 am
I definitely had school.
With only 4 hours of sleep, I got up, ended the alarm and got dressed.

This was the 1st week of school, I had been going to this school for 3 years now, and it was always the same.
Teachers too exasperated to teach.
Most of the girls were only into the popular boys. ( basketball players, football players... ).
And many of the boys were focused on school.
I didn't have time to do a sport. With all the homework they give us, you don't even have time to sleep.
Homework. I didn't do my homework. Now I was going to get into trouble.
When homework comes to teachers they get somewhat consequential.

I walked towards my wardrobe and looked through my clothes.
Honestly, I didn't really care what I wore but maybe it was time to.
It was kind of cold so I grabbed a sweater that my dad bought me. On the sweater, imprinted in white, was adidas and the adidas logo on top of it. The sweater was black, so I picked a baby blue ripped jeans to go along with it. I looked in the mirror and thought, I look pretty good.

I went downstairs and I noticed that my dad wasn't there. Once I was done eating breakfast, I checked the time and it was 7:50 am.
School starts at 8:00 am, I had 10 minutes to get there.
I took my skateboard to get there.
Arrived at school and there was a lot of people like usual. I go to a school called: Hampshire secondary public school.

Thank you so much for reading, I would really appreciate it if you vote for me. I'm not a experienced writer so no hate please.
