Tony Stark almost fell asleep in his Iron Man gloves when the alarm sounded. "JARVIS, why is the alarm on? I mean, let me restate that stupid question: what caused the alarm?"
"Sir, Clint Barton, known as Hawkeye, turned on the emergency alarm in Steve Rogers, known as Captain Americas, room."
"JARVIS, call Clint." On the screen infornt of Tony pops up a running image of Clint, running alongside Agent Romanoff. "Clinton Barton, what is it? Do we have a rogue Hulk again?"
"No, Anthony. Even worse. We have a rogue Steve Rogers. Thor is catching up to him, but the Captain knocked out Bruce while he was in mid transformation. He's still Banner, but asleep. Wait, I think Thir got him. No, he collapsed by himself. See you on floor eight. Hawkeye out." The screen closed and Tony was left speechless.
"JARVIS, get my suit."
Five minutes later at floor eight...
Tony arrived at floor eight, around the circle of heroes. He hovered half a foot in the air. "So, whats the oarty for?" Only Natasha looked at him, and she merely scooted over to her left to make room for him. He landed and walked forward.
They had encircled a single wooden chair which had arm rests. Stark had no idea that the tower even held something so simple. In the chair, sat Steve Rogers still in his suit, but maskless. His hair was wild and his head was in his hand sl that his hair covered some of his hand. His free hand gripped the armrest, and his sheild was on his back.
"Steve, buddy. Whats wrong? Heard you put up a fight. For what? We're tour friends." Steve let go of the armrest and put that hand on his head as fell, rubbing his head before lowering his arms. His face was ashen pale, as if he went through the worst of tortures. His eyes were a bit wild and mad. Tony steped back when he looked at them.
"It...it was the syrum." Clint closed his eyes. Tony even felt like doing so. Steves voice, once so bold and inspiring, sounded so wesk and hoarse. As if he had screamed for hours. And he probably had.
"The supersoldier syrum?" Steve nodded.
"Before I was...frozen, I was...plagued with the worst of nightmares. And sometimes, during the day, I would feel so much pain. As if I was being tortured by an invisible man. The pain, it went away after I was frozen in ice. But it only happens when I fall asleep. And I dont need sleep, so I can probably last it."
"Man of Iron," Thor said. "Remember those demigods of greek we had befriended?" Tony nodded. " They arth coming, evening of today! So right now, it is the fifth hour of the morning. So as you midgardians say, five o'clock AM."
"Then I better get in control of myself before our guests come. I am quite fond of Percy. We do get along well." The Avengers, even the quiete Bruce Banner, nodded in agreement. The Captain had a good relationship with the demigods that had come last time, Annabeth, Leo, and especially Percy and Hazel.
"Are you sure, Steve?" Asked Clint? He nodded.
"I wouldn't miss out on the chance to see Percy again. Especially Hazel." Bruce pulled Steve up, and Steve carefully started walking next to Bruce, back to his room. Tony looked at the two, and when Cap rounded the corner, his eyebrows immediatly knofted with worry. What if Cap couldn't keep it under control? What if it was something bigger? Something...not human. Something that maybe Percy knew about...
Tony returned to his engineering room and out away his suit. Then, he sat down down in a spinny chair infront of an interactive screen he designed. "JARVIS, play all cases of split personality disorder, or any form of someone becomming another person. Kind of like Dr.Jekyll and Mr.Hyde, for example. Fictional and Non fictional references, please." He leaned back as the computer sorted all files into sections, and played the top, most informative ones. After an hour and a half, Tony leaned forward.
He found his case.
