Lexi's P.O.V
My head hurt. My brain hurt and everything seemed too loud.
I didn’t want to tell Judy what was wrong because she wouldn’t believe me, to be fair I wouldn’t believe me.
“-and then we can watch rocky after paranormal.” April finished and looked round at me. “Lex were you even listening to any of that? I mean really?”
I look at her and will my face not to give it away.
“Of course you were talking about…um…films? And…um….I…yeah” I finish looking at the floor.
“I think Judy is right Lex. You are really unhappy about something.”
“Look don’t you start on me too April! I’m fine! Just. leave. It!” I say through gritted teeth and turn and look at her why can’t they just see I don’t want to talk about it? Friends are meant to be good at that sort of thing.
“-as my velocity starts to make you sweat….” I hear the others singing. April turns to look at them and I talk the opportunity to plug myself into my phone and zone out. I am vaguely aware of Luna coming to walk along side me but she soon drops back and I can just tell the others are talking about me.
The song on my phone switches but I’m not listening. A sudden movement down the next street catches my eye. I stare at the spot willing whatever it was to move again so I know I’m not insane. It doesn’t and I walk on again so the others can’t catch up to me. I don’t want them too. I want to calm down so I don’t rip their heads off again.
What is wrong with me? I think I’m going crazy. I can’t tell the others but I don’t want to shut them out. My head starts to throb, again and I can sense an image trying to force its way into my mind.
A door, a rotten door, and me and my friends including Nick and Jack and them. I don’t know where this door is but since the headaches started getting really bad I keep remembering this door. The image changes to a dark room and a chalkboard with names on but I can’t read them. I just need to focus a little bit more. Just a little…
“LEX!! What the… Catch her!!!” someone catches me and I open my eyes to see the pavement inches from my nose. I don’t remember falling but apparently I have…
“What the hell were you doing? Walking round with your eyes shut or something?!?!” that’s Mayas voice. Shit she sounds really angry.
I’m hauled up into a standing position. I try for a smile but I think it comes out as more of a grimace.
“Something like that I mumble.” I look around at their faces. They all look confused, scared even angry! “I’m sorry I…fell asleep.”
None of them believe me I can tell that by the looks they shoot at each other. I don’t care though because what just happened really freaked me out and I don’t want to deal with shit right now.
“You fell…asleep…right.” Cat looks at me then adds, “Let’s just get home and get some hot chocolate…you look like you’ve seen a ghost Lexi. You could really use some.
I nod my head whilst studying my feet. White converse, with doodles on them. Very interesting. Everyone around me is whispering. I catch snippets of the conversations as we walk
“- falling around all over the place-“
“- white as death-“
“- not fine really-“
“- she’s lying to us-“
“- I hope she is okaii!-“
I let them talk about me and walk in a subdued manner up to Danni’s front door.
*A/N: I am finally uploading again! I know it has been a while but I was seriously considering deleting this whole book of one chapter... but I didn't! Anyway thanks to those who do read my really bad stuff! Please comment but only nice critisism please! :) Sorry for my terrible spelling! I don't have a regular uploading pattern it will just be as and when to be honest... so I might upload again tonight not sure :)
