"Yes, can I help you, sir? The bubbly Starbucks lady asked, startling me.
" Can I have a White chocolate Mocha? Oh and make it a Venti please."
"Sure, that' will be $4.75"
I gave her a $20 bill and waited for my chance and drink.
I wonder what time it is? I need to find a job ASAP, but a place to stay sounds more important.I got my drink and walked out of Starbucks, with my duffle bag on my back." Now to find an apartment or studio room..,"
I knew it would cost an arm and a leg for a place in Manhattan, but damn I gotta try. I really don't wanna sleep out here again.

~~~~After a good while, it seems like I've been walking everywhere. I walked in lower Manhattan to a couple of places looking for a job, but nobody wants a 'jailbird' working for them or a 'psycho' as they would call me.
I walked over to a nearby park and sat down on one of the benches. It's so hard out here, and I don't have anyone to help me, at least just for a place to stay. I've needed for anything this much in my life.
I cupped my stomach and leaned forward a bit. Damn, I forgot to buy something to eat. I exhaled while standing up.
I could do this.
I walked back towards the beach and tried to use the one phone number I could remember. My boyfriend's, or at least ex-boyfriend by now.
I got up out my bed silently, as I tried not to awake the girl laying next to me. Seeing as I didn't, I stretched my arms while yawning and walked to my bathroom.
I know I gotta stop doing this. Bringing random people into my apartment, not even taking the time to know their names, or if they're tested for any STD's.
But I can't just stop, not after the first time I tried. I started breaking down into depression and was always waiting for the other sex.
As much as I want to get fucked by a man I couldn't. I would always turn the person down or wuss out. But that's a different story for another lonely Sunday night.
After I finished brushing my teeth and doing my usual morning deeds, I walked downstairs to the kitchen. I grabbed bottled water and walked to the closet at the front door putting on my running shoes.
I tightened my sweat pants and pulled up my hoodie, leaving my apartment. I set the distance meter on my iPhone and stretched before running down to the beach.
~~~~Tory lanes LA Confidential, blasted through my earbuds as I made it to the low walls outlining the beach.
I came down to the sand and was almost met by the foamy water as it just bearly grazed my running shoes.
As you could probably tell by now I love running. It's not just a workout, but it's relaxing. A real stress reliever and something else...but nevermind.
I jogged onto the long boardwalk and seen that it wasn't many people on it. I'm gonna finally run to the end.
I sped up my running and sprinted to the end of the pier.
"Finally!" I've been trying to run down here since...forever. But I never got the chance to because of the crowd of people.I opened my bottle water taking a swig and sat down on the railings, looking at the calm Atlantic ocean.
Just as I'm about to come off of the railing someone touched my back of guard and caused me to jump, almost falling forward into the water. Lord knows my dumbass never learned to swim.
I looked back while clutching my chest inspecting the jackass who almost caused my death.
"I'm sorry if I scared you, you good man?" The man said with a grin on his face. This isn't funny!
He lucky he's as big an ape because I would of went off on his ass." Yeah, I'm good, you wanted something?" And what the hell is he looking at?
"Yeah.., I'm sorry to bother you, but I wanted to know the time."
I nodded my head pulling out my iPhone, checking the time.
"It's 6:35 sir..." The dude was staring at me again."Ughhmm what's your problem bruh?"
"Man I'm sorry if I come off as wrong to you or some type of way. But you look like someone who had meant literally the world to me."
Baby, I love you so much
you're my world........I KNEW I was blushing "What-what do you mean?" Great, now I'm stammering.
"Sorry if I made you uncomfortable," he sighed rubbing the back of his head "just a lil' misunderstanding. Thanks for the time."
He walked off with his duffel bag looking a bit sad. Shit sad is an understatement, he looked like he wanted to burst into tears.
I stood there looking at him as he walked back towards the entrance. I couldn't help but notice his resemblance of him. But it couldn't be.
He's in jail for like 20 years or something. I'm not even sure anymore. His mother told me to promise her to never visit him before she died 5 years ago. It was hard to do but I respected her enough to accept her wishes.
"Hey!" I called as the man looked back to me and I swear I almost had a heart attack. He looks so much like".....Platnum?"
