All I could see was darkness. The cold water surrounding my body broke into my mouth, the disgusting lake water poured in to my throat. I gasped for air, but only water rushed into my lungs. The world got darker as my ice skates pulled me farther away from the hole in the ice. The hours before this rushed into my mind. My sister Milly and I were planing to go ice skating on our town's lake. We had been there around an hour when I broke through the ice. Milly skated to me as fast as she could but I was already gone. As one last effort to swim to the surface I saw my sister kneeling at the edge of the ice crying and yelling for help. Then a blinding light was the only thing I could see. A warm feeling spread over me, then I was standing next to my sister. I whispered to her "It's okay, Milly, it's okay." Then my time was over in this world.
