No drug could drown the sound of the music blaring from the speakers.

Charlotte pressed her face into the palm of her hands.

The next party her friend ----- Kimber ------ would throw, she would definitely bring her earphones with her. She'd also make a playlist which would be filled with Of Mice & Men or Slipknot. Or anything with lots of screaming and growling. Her desperation to block out the sounds of people screaming "WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU?" was the only thing she could think about right now. Maybe she could shove a Christmas tree into their asses to make them shut up or take a knife from Kimber's kitchen and stab everyone.

Or She could just leave the party. However, if she were to leave the press of sweaty bodies and booze, Kimber would call her a "total buzzkill for months. Being called a buzzkill by Kimber wasn't very pleasurable due to the fact that once Kimber labels someone a buzzkill, everyone would call them a buzzkill. And Charlotte would definitely be an outcast or she would end up sitting in the bleacher's smoking weed with Kyle Preston.

"Hey. Wanna grab a beer?" Charlotte's friend, Aaron stated.

Charlotte hoped that if she pretended to not notice Aaron, he would go away. But knowing Aaron, he would probably start poking your shoulder to the point that you want to rip his auburn hair off his head and stick it onto his porcelain skin. Though, it was quite entertaining to see him poking someone's shoulder like a little kid begging his mom for an ice cream cone.  Most of the time, if you didn't notice him for more than five minutes, Aaron would move on to someone else. However, no one had the ability to put up with his crap for more than five minutes....

"I guess." Charlotte replied because if she said no, Aaron would beg her for it and then end up carrying her over his shoulder. This happened once but he ended up dropping her and leaving her there to be stepped on my drunk partygoers.

As she followed Aaron into the kitchen, she took a good look around Kimber's house. She never noticed how the walls were a tone of beige and not white or how the ceilings had whirling, rose colored fans to keep the room cool. This house was quite beautiful ; sadly it was mostly filled with sweaty bodies and drunk slurs most of the time. After a few moments of moving around and trying to not get knocked down by party-goers, they made it to the kitchen ; breathless and sweaty. Without noticing, Aaron was already half a cup into beer, and a petite woman was standing next to him.

Charlotte couldn't make out who it was, but with her blonde hair and thick glasses, it was sure to be Aaron's girlfriend, Adelaide.
Sometimes Charlotte wondered how they could end up together because they were polar opposites. Adelaide always had strict rules about staying sober and stayed home on weekends to study ; Aaron was always out drinking and going to parties. In physique, they were also different. Aaron was tall and broad while Adelaide had a short stature and a very small body. But you never know, sometimes opposites attract. Maybe Adelaide was the one who kept Aaron sane or vice versa.

"I just don't wanna see you wasted and falling of a window anytime soon." Adelaide explained, referring to the time Aaron jumped of a window in his undies while screaming the lyrics of I Believe I Can Fly. Charlotte stifled a laugh as she recalled of the events of freshman year ;  Aaron was still as much of idiot as he was now, even if he was already a senior. Probably even more of an idiot.

"You agree with me right, Char?" Charlotte nodded in response. The two continued to argue about drinking issues while Aaron explained how "I'm young, wild and free" and Adelaide was explaining how the last time he drank Jack Daniel's he jumped from the roof into the pool. Charlotte watched as Aaron waved his arms in surrender and hugged Adelaide. A bit of jealousy rose in Charlotte because she's been single since who the fuck knows. Though, it was nice to have no one as your partner as you could do whatever the fuck you want without worrying about your significant other.

"I'll leave you guys to it." Adelaide and Aaron probably didn't hear her as they were too busy in their embrace.

Charlotte walked out to the big leaving room, mentally preparing herself to go into the "mosh pit" in the room. However, even before she started her suicide mission, someone had already bumped into her. She looked up to see a lanky man. He had black hair that cascaded down onto his face and porcelain skin. He had luminous black irises that Charlotte could easily get lost in for eons. Definitely have never seen him before. Not at Kimber's parties, and definitely not at school.

"Hi, umm I'm very sorry. I didn't see you there." Mr. Stranger stated, looking apologetic and ready to beg for Charlotte's forgiveness. Charlotte giggled at his expression but was sort of amazed at how someone can be as mesmerizing as this person. He looked like god had sprinkled moon dust on him on the day of his birth and had given him the gift of looking like a saint. He was gorgeous, to say the least. If Andy Biersack and Jay Alvarrez had a love child, it would look like him.

"It's okay. I mean I'm short, you probably wouldn't have seen me up there." Charlotte reassured while trying to make a joke to lighten the mood.

"I'll go now. Nice to meet you." And with that, mystery man disappeared into the bodies, leaving Charlotte confused and dazed.

Charlotte stared at the bodies while hoping he would suddenly appear and introduce himself to her. Something about him intrigued her, and she wanted to see more of him. Like when you see a rather attractive male at the bus yesterday so you somehow wished he would take the same bus as you the next day and suddenly start to talk to you. Though that didn't happen in real life only in romance stories you read on tumblr.

But, little did Charlotte know, she would be seeing him. A lot.
