"I open my eyes to see not home but the extravagant decoration of my room If I'm in the train right now I wonder how my room in the capital will look like. Just then Jazzy walks in and informs me that the train will be at the capital in about two hours for a lot of districts they have to travel days to get to the capital but sense we are from district 2 it's only a one night drive so we leave at night and arrive at morning."
"about an hour later Josh walks in and greets me I take the time to thank him for volunteering at the reaping I don't know what I would done if I didn't have my best friend with me, I didn't tell him anything at the reaping because we only had a few hours before we were off to the capital
" By the time we arrived at the capital Jazzy had the brightest smile because she was back home but not for me my home is back at district 2... ah district 2 I remember when I was ten and I started training for the games on the first day of training I told her that I was scared of getting picked she said that they were always going to be volunteers so I didn't have to worry... why weren't there any volunteers this year apart from Josh usually there are guys and girls fighting for a spot on the train but this year nothing, anyways I miss mom and her funny food puns she used at dinner time and dad well he was gone a lot being a peacekeeper he had to leave to other districts for months at a time when ever he was home I was glad. Sometimes he would bring me rocks from every district I have a rock from every district except district 1 and district 11, just than Jazzy burst through the door almost screaming "we are here people put on your best faces!!!" Yeah she was weird"
