The door slammed and I cringed. Melissa just rolled her eyes, and continued to wash the plates. I ate the last bite of toast, and I was on my merry way.

"Hey, come back here, "Melissa demanded, and I was so close. Just two more seconds and I'd be off to school.

She pointed towards the mess I had made on the table. I cupped my right hands and pushed the crumbs off the table with my left. The mess was gone, and I walked out.

"Hey! Come back I'm not finished!" She joked.

I sluggishly closed the door behind me with my foot and walked back into the dining room table.

"Who took the kit from the cabinets?" I shook my head, and grabbed another plate of toast from the toaster.

I took a meaty bite since I was still hungry.

"Then I'm guessing it was Scott then" She said unsure looking into my eyes.

I took the burnt piece of bread out of my mouth, I look up towards the ceiling, "Yes, it was me."

My mom clapped her hands, "I knew it! Not just because Scott has a lack of hygiene and would never clean his wounds. It's just that, you just get silent." She said tightened the strings of her scrubs.

She worked over at the hospital which was about 15 minutes away from here. She walked over to me and tapped me on my nose. I chuckled and made my way out the door. She was always on my case about that.

I hopped off the porch, expecting Scott to scold me, but, he was probably a mile away by now. This sucked for me since I have no ride now.

Well at least I don't have to ride in to school on a petty little bike.

I walked the old path that me and my dad used to take. I use it when I just need to clear my head.

It still actually looks pretty good. Except for the branches the fell here and there. But, it's all part of nature isn't it?

I took this time to switch out my flats for my converses.

Like I was going to ruin a nice pair of shoes just to get to school.

I grabbed my I-Phone, and checked the time. It was 7:00; I had about 25 minutes to get to school. I guess I could kill the time by sending death threats to Scott because he did ditch me.

When you come home I'm making you coffee with antifreeze in it! 7:02

I WILL CLIMB INTO TO BED WITH YOU AND SLIT YOUR DAMN THROUT OPEN! 7:02

Why you leaf me? 7:10

cum beck plz 7:10

I wuv you! 7:11

Stop ignoring me! 7:11

A bike is not an actually vehicle you can text and ride! 7:11

YOU KNOW WHAT! 7:13

I WISH YOU GET MUALED BY A FREAKING WOLF DOG! 7:13

I stopped at the end of the last text.

Actually, what was the thing that hit him? Maybe one of the new dogs must have bit him at the vet...

I was actually, genuinely stunned. I'm usually good with this sort of stuff. I continued to walk, snapping branches in half as I went along. The snapping of branches multiplied, I had this wired feeling in my stomach. I stopped walking. There was one last branch as I stopped. I quickly turned my head around, letting my burgundy curls free.

"Hello?" I call out to anyone near,

"Is anyone here?" I follow up.

I shrugged and turn around.

There was a dark figure in front of me, the shadow of the figure engulfing my body. Its stern eyes, I gulped down my fear.

The figure gave a quick and dashing smile. He stuck out his hand, "Hi, I am Derek sorry for scaring you." I tilted my head, I was truly memorized. That weird feeling from just moments ago was strengthened.

I took my hand up to his like I was a rusted robot.

"Um, hi." I said as I tucked my dark hair behind my ear.

I couldn't say any other words, so I fixed the tote bag to fit back to my shoulder and scurried the hell out of there.

Wasn't this fenced?

I say, trying to make sense of this. If doing so was even possible.

(I feel like this is going good so far :) and I mean like really really good!
