Hey guys, it's been a while since my last upload. I've been quite a bit busier this year than expected. So, similarly to last year, please forgive the rather slow updates. Also, please forgive the grammatical and/or (it's more "and", rather than "or") spelling errors. I try to fix them as I go, but, I don't actually go back to edit them.

And as a special treat (again, my apologies for the slow uploads), I'll upload another chapter once this one is published. If you have any feedback, it would much appreciated if you left a comment and/or a favorite. I love seeing what people have to say, and if they enjoy the series. Thanks again for the patience.

Sincerely yours, Chopinssonata

"Vivian". The voice beside me spoke, snapping me back into reality. "Sorry, what were we doing?" I said apologetically. "Not to worry. Padfoot and Prongs aren't paying any attention either". Remus pointed to the two who could be seen in the center of the classroom. Sirius was busy flirting with anything moving that wore a skirt, while James seemed to be easily amused throwing spitballs at the back of Snape's head. "We're brewing the antidote to Veritaserum". Pettigrew answered. As Remus filled me in on what tasks needed to be done in order to complete the potion, James and Sirius joined us once more in our corner in the back of the room. "Come on, Moony. Work faster. We can't let Snivellus be the first one in the class to brew the potion correctly. If he wins, he'll get the Felix Felicis". Declared James.

Besides his heroic death, I didn't know much about James Potter. But one of the things I did know, was that he was a bully. And as Lily Evans put it, a toe rag. I'd often heard stories from my mother of my Grandfather's hatred towards him. And how his hatred of James had been transferred to Uncle Harry. When I heard the saddening tale of Snape, which he wasn't here to tell himself, I couldn't help but pity him. He hadn't had much of anything, which was why he was drawn in by the allure darker magic. In other words, the society of Death Eaters. It was rather ironic, how the organization that he so desperately wanted to be a part of because he thought it'd help him get ahead in life, but in the end, it took everything from him. "Vivian, are you alright?" Remus looked at me quizzically. It took me a moment before I managed to notice that I'd shed a single tear. "Look what you've done, Moony. You've upset your girlfriend. Luckily for Vivian, I've got arms especially made for comfort". Sirius held his arms open as if to embrace me. "No thanks". I declined as I wiped away the tear using my index finger, with one swift stroke. "Did you hear that, Moony? I can feel the rejection from over here". James howled with laughter. "That's certainly a first. Sirius' never been turned down before". Peter seemed fascinated by this fact. Almost as fascinated as Mr. Weasley when he discovers a new muggle item. "Why? Don't enough girls around here have common sense?" I asked.

As I grew up, I learned from my mother that fairytales are nothing than fiction. And even though she instilled in me, this extremely realistic view of the world, I still found a piece of truth in them. The concept of true love. I'd witnessed it with my own two eyes. My mother and father were my best examples of this concept. You could simply tell from the way they looked at each other. Even a true cynic wouldn't be able to deny that. And although I believed in true love, I didn't believe love was destined. If fate was a driving factor, my mother wouldn't have become a Death Eater, she wouldn't have built a relationship with Uncle Harry based upon lies, she wouldn't have left Uncle Harry at the altar, and it was improbable that she'd be married to my father. In her earlier years in Hogwarts due to the fact that she'd never thought of him as more than a friend. No, if it were up to fate, my mother would currently be married to Harry Potter with three children. Two sons and a daughter. James Sirius Potter, Albus Severus Potter, and Lily Luna Potter.

I could hear Snape at the front of the classroom snickering from my comment. "Shut up, Snivellus!" Sirius yelled across the classroom because of his embarrassment. "Don't worry, Padfoot. I've got a way to get back at him". James smirked before whispering his devious plan into Sirius' ear. "But where are we going to find someone who's gullible enough to do our bidding?" Sirius thought aloud, before the two simultaneously looked over their shoulders at me. Each had a glint in the corner of their eyes, indicating that the cogs within their mind had begun to turn, and that they were indeed, up to no good. "No way. Not going to happen".I responded. "Wouldn't it be better if we actually did the classwork rather than occupy our time trying to sabotage Snape?" Lupin offered, before returning to brewing the potion. James raised his eyebrow in surprise, as if Lupin's comment was unheard of. As if he were a muggle, and Lupin had just told him of the wizarding world. "Why Moony, I'm rather ashamed of you". Sirius gasped. Lupin opened his mouth as if to speak, as if to say that he was the one ashamed of his friends for treating Snape in the cruel, almost sadistic manner they did. But instead, of speaking of this injustice, he quickly closed his mouth, with no intention of speaking at all.
