Peace.

Something that has been sought after for eons, yet is also something so elusive that it is unattainable.

The peace that we know of is not true peace. For it is something that is indefinite.

Plato sought after true knowledge. One that never fails, knowledge that never changes throughout the ages.

Thus, he has chosen to reject this world. He believed that this world is a fake and the people around him were all just an illusion.

To Plato, all that is changing is fake. All that is unchanging is real.

Assuming that Plato's theory holds true, all that we are do not exist.

Our property, our kin, our knowledge, our lives, our experiences, our bodies and our souls are all fake.

That also includes the peace that our forefathers have been striving to achieve. It is fake too.

The peace we have begets war. War begets peace. Since the status quo is always changing, it could not have been true peace.

Therefore, the efforts of our forefathers are futile, for war is imminent.
