He had left the underground at around six. Right now it was eleven and he still hadn't moved from the stairs of what seemed to be an old, now closed coffeshop. He had been sitting here the whole morning not really sure what he could do now. Usually he either slept through the days or walked through the city, moving from park bench to park bench. Sometimes he got out his guitar and played, he had even writen a few songs over the past weeks. But nobody seemed to noticed him or seemed to care. The businessmen rushed by him hoping he wouldn't ask them for money and families tried to get away as fast as they could. To them he was just another homeless guy. The only people who stopped to listen to him were the tourists, some even gave him money or tried to have a quick chat.
He had always imagined moving to the big city as amazing. He had always thought it would be so easy. He'd get a flat and find a record label. The reality was quite different. He knew London was expensive but he thought that he should be able to afford it. But one didn't just give up their dreams cause they couldn't find a flat or at least he didn't.
From then on he had tried get enough money to get food and find a job, but this simple task proved itself to be quite difficult.

"Hey Kiddo!"
The voice brought Ed back from his thoughts. He looked up! A man in a navy blue suit, was leaning over him, holding a suitcase in his left and a sandwich in his right hand. He had a grinn on his face, that made him look sonewhat ridiculous but also kind of sympathetic.

"Yeah?", Ed looked up. He wasn't used to people just walking up to him.

"For you.", he handed Ed the sandwich, while still grinning like he had witnessed the birth of Jesus Christ.

"You sure?", there had to be some kind of mistake. People didn't just walk up to him and offered him there food.

"Yeah, you look like you haven't eaten in days."

It was true he had lost a shit ton of weight and apparently it began to show.

"Thanks, man!", he wasn't sure if he could trust this guy but he also couldn't bare the thought of turning down a perfectly good sandwich.

"Saw you playing in that park yesterday, you've got talent, keep up the good work!", said the guy before vanishing with a wink.

Ed was sure that was the strangest conversation he had ever had and he once drunkenly flirted with a traffic light.
The day progreesed normally with Ed deciding that sleeping in the park wouldn't be an option because it had started to rain. In the end he decided to go to a bench he had dicovered near Westminster Abbey, that provided him a roof for the night.
He arrived there after  what felt like an hour on the underground and he was relieved when he finally saw his bench but when he arrived, someone had already taken his place.
Someone with red hair.
