Falling for Mr. Wrong

Chapter 3

     Anna's pov
What an annoying fellow.

The rest of the day went from bad to worse.I hadn't got a job yet after walking in and out of different buildings for 6 hours and then I couldn't register my sister for school and there was my dad....

Could the day get any worse, I still felt awkward about the event that morning but that was the last thing on my mind. As I walked out of the last building, I couldn't help but notice a building directly opposite it with the light on the top most floor on.

Scott&Rooney Enterprise read the sign.

Well I can't lose hope yet so I approached the building. As I did, I wondered why I hadn't seen it before.

When I entered the building, I saw a group of men and panic rushed through me.Could they possibly be doing illegal business considering their outfit and the time... 8:30pm.Well,one amongst them wore a different kind of suit different from the rest and she concluded that he was the leader of the crew.

Then... I saw one of the bodyguards which I had nearly encountered at the park who assessed me with raised eyebrows.

That seem to catch the attention of the leader and they all turned to look at me. OMG...... What have I gotten into...

Apparently, the leader of the group happened to be the same guy I met earlier today...I really am cursed.... Everyone was looking at me curiously with their eyes darting between me and the boss obviously wondering what he would do. 

Then after minutes of awkward silence, I decided it wasn't best for me to stay so I apologized and started backing away but Grayson rushed towards me and I  increased my pace backward and then I suddenly tripped and lunged forward but his strong, masculine arms shoot out just in time to catch me around my waist,causing my breathe hitched in the back of my throat and I stood there with the whole of my front totally flattened against his and I stared into his eyes and saw something flick in them.

Oh-oh???

His thoughts are sure running wild because a smirk spread across his face and I pushed his chest but he didn't bug as he was obviously in the outer space and I decided to help him by stomping hard on his foot and that did the trick.

He doubled over as though he has been hit in where the sun doesn't shine and it took all of my strength not to laugh at the expression on his face. Then I was about to turn and exit when he caught my wrist again. With that fear started creeping into my mind. I turned to face him and he gave me a death glare.

He then spoke and his voice rumbled all over the building which was empty and another knot made its way to the pit of my stomach. "Am sorry Miss.... " "Anna" I said. "Yes, Miss Anna am sorry but u can't go. " Wat d hell... Is he out of his mind... "Trust me. Am not. "Did I say that out loud.." "Anyways you can't go coz I don't know how much you have heard and this is a really important deal for my company ".So..."I know that you are looking for a job.

How about you work for me as my personal assistant seeing how you already involved urself in this deal."

Seriously.... Here I am being handed a job on a platter of gold... But I don't really know what the job might entail... So I cleared my throat and spoke..

"Hmmm sir,If u don't mind may I know what exactly d job would require me to do." "Well, not too much, u plan my schedule, receive and sort my letters,go to every meeting with me, take down minutes of meetings, bring me coffee, and any other thing that u may be required for ". "Hmmm sir, I don't get u clearly on ur last note.... "." Don't worry. Nothing physical. See you tomorrow by 7:00am.Am not a fan of late comers. "
