Why Bother? (Sans x Chara)

C H A P T E R N I N E

I turned around and Chara stayed in place, not realizing that he meant both of us.

I swiped through her with my hand, which created a foggy movement where I had swung at her.

She turned around, annoyed, and saw Sans looking at her.

"You turned around before I.. Nevermind. I'm Sa-" Sans stopped due to Chara interrupting.

"I'm Sans, Sans the Skeleton. I'm supposed to be watching humans right now.. but.. Uh... Frisk what are you looking at?" Chara asked me, having the look of pure confusion.

"He can see you." I glared at her. She put her hand over her mouth and one over her stomach and started laughing.

"Why is that so funny?!" I yelled at her, waving my arms around. Sans looked at me, then Chara, then back at me.

"Uh, what exactly is going on here..?" Sans asked. I looked at him, my arms stopping in mid-air.

"O-oh- pfft- I'm Ch-chara, the demon wh-who comes wh-when-" Chara stopped and went into another laughing fit.

"She's the one who possesses me during the Genocide routes.." I mumbled, and Sans nodded, apparently hearing what I said.

"You can't really hurt her since she's a demon-ghost thing right now, that is, of you were thinking about it. Oh, and only Flowey and you can see her so far." I explained. He nodded again, then looked at Chara, who had been glaring at me since I said 'genocide'.

She had stopped laughing ever since I said that, and had an offended look on her face.

"Oh! I'm sorry, Ms. I'm-Such-A-Perfect-Pacifist! You're the one who killed most the monsters, making me watch while you did so! Then you think you can just randomly reverse you're actions and make everything better?! No!! You can't!! So I had to make you pay the consequence and kill the rest of your gullible family! Now you blame me, when you're the one who got me hooked on this shit?!" Chara screamed at me demonically, having black substances coming from her eyes and mouth.

She disappeared into nothingness, leaving a black smoke behind of where she stood.

I sighed as Papyrus walked up to us, coming out if no where.

"SANS! IS THAT A HUMAN!? Papyrus accused, pointing at me.

"I think that's a lamp." Sans defended. Then out of no where, the conveniently-shaped lamp appeared behind me. I giggled.

"But what's in front of the lamp?" Sans questioned Papyrus, who had his head down. Papyrus perked back up.

"SANS!! IS THAT A HUMAN!?" Papyrus yelled.

"Yes." Sans replied casually. I giggled again and Papyrus turned around.

"THEN SO BE IT!! NYEH HEH HEH!!" Papyrus cackled, leaving me and Sans alone.

"You better get going or you'll have to stay here and listen to-" Sans stopped again, getting interrupted.

"Listen to my ridiculous puns." Chara mocked, apparently over the argument.
