chapter 1

Caitlin pov

there was a knock on the door. I went to go open it. to my surprise it was him. he was standing right in front of me my jaw drop my eyes started to water. the man that had missed 15 yrs of my life was before me now. i began to cry harder. I shut the door and ran upstairs and pulled out my gun and pointed it to my head one....two....three....I pulled the trigger

"wake up Caitlin your going to be late for school."

I got up and took a hot shower. Then I got dressed in a grey sweatshirt long enough to hide my cuts then I got dressed in my black skinny jeans.  I wore my black vans. I put my hair in a messy bun and put on mascara.

"Hurry up Caitlin. "

I ran downstairs as fast as I could. My mom was looking at me. She was so strange at night she was a monster but during the day she looks like an angel. I grabbed an apple and $25 then headed out the door. I was surrounded by the fresh air of California. 

I walked down the street and stopped at my friend's ,Crystal, house. I sat down on her front step and waited, for her to come out. About 5 minutes later she came down the stairs. Her caramel colored eyes were shining in the sun. She was wearing her dark blue high waisted shorts and a white Hi Low shirt, she looked beautiful as always. We got in her car and drove to the nearest Starbucks. With 45 mins to spare we figured why not. I ordered the Caramel Frappuccino and she got the Double Chocolaty Chip Frappuccino . We sat down and drank our drinks and talked for a little bit. All of a sudden, I felt a cold chill down my spine.

'"Hey Crystal I think its time we leave," I said with an emotionless voice. I was scared, I was scared o f the unknown. I felt like something was odd.

"Why we still have another 35 mins until school and it only takes ten to get to school from here."

"Fine," I spat, I was upset and I wanted to run out of Starbucks.

"Hey Caitlin I don't think we have met before but I am...."
