The Tom looked at the black she cat. "I promise I will watch over her with my life." The she cat nodded. "My clan is were I belong but she doesn't belong there." She pushed the kit towards the tom. "Fallen Leaves take care of her." Fallen Leaves nodded, "I won't let you down Hollyleaf."
Hollyleaf licked his ear and walked out of the entrance of the tunnel. The kit began to cry. Fallen Leaves picked up the kit. "Don't worry darling Hollyleaf will be back some day. I know she will."
Fallen Leaves took the kit and brought her into the tunnel. "I will call you Hollyfeather after your mother." He told the kit. Hollyfeather cried for her mother. Fallen Leaves looked at her.
"Don't cry little one. It is only us. Your mother will be back someday until then I will be here for you. Forever." Hollyfeather opened her eyes. Fallen Leaves smiled "that's right little one, you are my daughter forever and always."
