Draycott Jungle - 1200 Hours

The jungle was unsurprisingly hot, it was high noon after all. The area was quite serene today with no disturbances, other than the chirps and calls from various organisms. The tall trees covered with vines shined with dew as the sun started to raise higher in the sky. Suddenly, a wind started to shake the long vines as a figure darted through the trees on top of the branches.

Not shortly after, a silver haired figure dashed right after him. Axel smiled.

"You can't run forever! I'm pretty damn fast!" He screamed out at his prey.

The other man didn't respond and kept leaping from branch to branch. Axel was beginning to get annoyed at this point, he liked his food to play and hated if they didn't participate. He wasn't going to let this get him down and he kept his pursuit.

Eventually, the scenery began to change and they found themselves in a small clearing surrounded by trees. Light filtered in through the tops of the tall plants but there was virtually no way out other than climbing them, this was the heart of the jungle.

Axel ran his hands through his long, silver hair. "Alright, enough. Everybody's gotta die, you had a good run."

The other man was a tall, tan man in a blue shirt and black pants. He had bulging muscles and on his back was a large shotgun. A large black cap sat on his head covering his dark hair. He turned to look at Axel.

A smile was on his face.

"C'mon then, show me what you got, you stupid kid!"

The man pulled the shotgun from his back and pumped it back. He pulled the trigger and sent shells flying at Axel.

Axel disappeared and reappeared behind the man at speeds one could only dream of. The man turned around and tried to hit Axel with the pump action, but he caught the butt of the gun and threw it behind him with ease.

"Fuckin'- !" The man was pissed.

He grabbed Axel by the throat lifting him in the air. Axel choked out and scratched at the man's broad hand. The man tightened his grip, laughing all the while.

"You should have stayed at home, kid! This ain't a joke out here."

The man tightened his grip even more but Axel grabbed his hand and ripped his fingers off of his throat with ease. The man heard a crack and grasped his hand, kneeling on the ground and yelping in pain.

"You really thought I was just going to die like that? You're really a fucking idiot."

He reached for his silver deagle on his belt and cocked it back, pressing it to the man's forehead.

"The chase wasn't worth it. You're just another low class criminal." Axel spat.

He pulled the trigger and fired a round into the man's head. His cap flew off his head as he dropped to the ground, staining the dirt with blood. A hole protruded from his head where the bullet struck him.

Axel shook his head and pulled out a pack of Backwoods cigarillos from his cloak. He ripped off the top and pulled out the long cigarillo from the pack. He put the tip of his finger to the end and a flame started, bringing the smell of burnt tobacco to the air.

"What a waste of time." He said, blowing smoke from his mouth.

The silver haired boy stepped over the body and reached for the black cap. It had splatters of blood all over it that stained the black fabric.

"This should do." Axel said.

He took one last loving look at the body and disappeared with a flash of dark flames.

Ashborne Village - 1300 Hours

Axel stepped through the gates of the village after flashing his identification. He wanted to hurry up and get off the job so he could get drunk and try to hook up with some girl just as drunk as him.

Ashborne village was small and quiet. There were no big stores and few vendors on the street aside from a few fresh produce vendors. He knew where he needed to go.

He stepped inside of the bar. It was as dimly lit and sparsely populated as any other bar in the middle of the day. Axel looked around for a second and saw just who he was looking for. A man in a booth in the corner of the bar. He was wearing a hood and had a beer on the table in front of him. Axel made his way over to the booth.

He threw the cap on the table and slid into the booth. "That's his. Where's my money?"

The other man took a sip from his drink. "That was quick."

"Yeah, that's what she said. Where's my money?"

"With my previous experiences, I didn't have to pay the worker directly. I paid the organization."

The man reached for his drink but Axel stuck his hand out and snatched it up. "I'm an elite member of this organization. I've earned the right to collect my payment. Now either you fork over the cash or I'll bring the fucker back to life and burn the town down as well."

After hesitating, the hooded man reached into his pocket and produced two stacks of bills, which he placed on the table with gloved hands. Axel took off the rubber band and counted through the stacks, replacing it afterwards.

"That's what I'm talking about. Have a great day."

Axel slid the drink back to the man and stood up from the booth, stretching his arms out. He then walked out of the door, back to the village entrance.

Guild Offices - 1400 Hours

Axel walked up to his "boss's" desk. He used the term boss loosely because she didn't really order him around but he did have to check in with her after every kill.

"Roxy. I'm done for the day. I just killed that 'Rowan Harris' guy."

The redheaded woman looked up. "Did you get your payment?"

Axel flashed the stacks. "Hell yeah! Let me keep this one."

She sighed and waved her hand.

Axel pocketed the stacks again. He started to light another cigarillo. "I'll be going now, busy night of whiskey ahead of me."

Roxanne laughed. "When are you ever sober?"

"Never. See you at the bar, maybe?" He gave her a sultry look.

She smiled a little. "Maybe."

Axel walked away, waving to her as he walked through the door. He walked down the long hallway, passing other offices and various rooms. He reached the exit, but a man with long black hair was standing in his way with a large grin. He, like Axel, had on a long dark cloak.

"Comrade! How are you today?" The man said with a wave.

Axel blew smoke in the black haired man's still smiling face and flicked his cigarillo to the ground.

"Fuck off, Lucius."

Lucius's smile still stayed on his face. "That's not nice."

"Look, I have somewhere to be. Move or I'll cut you in half."

"B-but I just want to talk, let me buy you a drink or some-"

Axel's katana flashed from his waist. In a matter of less than a second, steel clashed with other steel as Lucius drew his sword at the absolute last moment.

"What's got you in a mood today?" Lucius finally broke his smile into a small smirk.

Axel sheathed his weapon and pushed the man out of the way, giving him access to the door. He opened the door and made his way out to his village.

He didn't even want to look Lucius in the eye.
