We are never free.

Let me tell you.

We live in a world with monsters.

Since the day I was born they wouldn't ever leave me alone.

They always disguise themselves as angels.

Everyone would say to never let them in.

They would wave at me.

They would whisper my name so delicately.

I would try to hide away my curiosity.

I would ignore them because of their reputation.

But one day, one of them knocked on my door with a hello.

I opened it and I told to myself

Why don’t I give them a chance.

I let them in.

I let them take me away, far away from my home.

They took me to a new place where I could discover so much more.

They gave me a beautiful red dress.

They gave me a delicious red apple.

They gave me the blood-lust wine.

They watched me as I swallowed all my innocents away.

They pulled, pushed and danced along with my uncontrollable mind.

They all laughed with their spitting acid.

Their mouths curled as they ripped off my dress.

Their rough hands hooked onto my arm as they threw me onto the ground.

They quickly tied the old and rusty ropes around my frail body.

 I screamed, I screamed, I screamed.

But no one heard me.

Who would?

I didn’t listen to my angels.

I only listened to my demons.

With that last strike the monsters took.

It felt like hot metal punctured through me.

I opened my eyes to see myself back in my room.

I heard a knock on my door and opened it.

And they were there, waiting for me.

That’s when I stepped aside

and let them in.
