After quickly getting ready I went to have breakfast. While I ate my cereal I saw some girls looking at me and then giggling. I tried to ignore it but that’s harder than it sounds. So I tried to listen in but I couldn’t hear a damn thing!
“They’re talking about who you were hanging out with and what you’re wearing. None of it’s in a good way but I disagree.” A fox Neko girl said, sitting down next to me.
“How do you know that’s what they’re talking about?” I asked, looking over at her confused.
She pointed to her ears, “They hear farther than people think.” She said happily.
“So what were they saying about my clothes?” I asked not really caring but interested nonetheless.
“They were worried that that is what you’re going to wear to class.” She said.
I looked at my clothes, a t-shirt that had a dinosaur and cookies and said ‘I just want someone to share with’, comfortable jeans, Airwalks, and a baggy skull jacket with plenty of holes.
“I don’t see anything wrong with this.” I said going back to my cereal with a shrug.
“Yeah, I found out pretty quickly everyone here is pretty judgmental. You have to watch what you say and what you wear. I already have 10 enemies because I wore the same dress as their friend to the party yesterday.” She said, rolling her eyes.
“Another reason I’m glad I didn’t wear a dress.” I said, annoyed because of those girls.
“You’re the girl that didn’t wear a dress?” she asked, her eyes wide and filled with admiration.
“Yeah I thought it was stupid that everyone was dressing up.” I grumbled.
“You’re like 5 girls hero. That’s just that I know of too. We think that it’s amazing you were that brave. I’m Vanessa by the way.” She said excitedly.
“I’m Rachelle. It’s my first year.” I said, holding out my hand which she shook.
“It’s my first year too! What’s your first class?” she asked.
“It’s Controlling and Understanding Powers with Trinity Louis.” I said, thinking back to my schedule.
“That’s my first class too. We should walk to class together.” She said excitedly.
“Okay I was planning on just going from here.” I said.
“Okay, I’ll be back in, like, five seconds.” She said, getting up and running to her room.
So I waited for her to get back and when she did we walked to class together. We sat down next to each other and talked since we were the first ones there.
“It’s kind of embarrassing to be at class so early.” I said, looking around the empty class room.
“It’s better than being late. I heard the teachers are really strict, well except for Alexis Jasmine.” Vanessa said.
“How do you think they would punish us?” I asked.
“Public humiliation, torture.” She said jokingly.
“They would probably just make us stand at the back of the class. That’s what my old teachers did.” I said smiling.
“Well we aren’t your old teachers Rachelle.” Trinity said lightly, walking in with a huge stack of books.
