He died. I stood over his dead body. Yup this is now my life, I said.
Ok let's start from the beginning, hi my name is Angela Lloyd. I am 22 years old and today I start my internship at Washington Dove.
"Ah yes you must be the new nurse." The lady at the front desk said. "No I'm a surgical intern, today's my first day". The lady at the front desk laughed at me. She told me that I looked more like a model then a surgeon, she also stated that I don't stand a chance. I thought about turning around and heading back to my house and getting the frick out of there and just enjoy my life, like any reasonable person would, but of course that's exactly what I didn't do.
I headed upstairs. While I was going upstairs I ran into the chief of surgery. "New nurse?" "Surgical intern." He told me to go to the surgical floor. "Thanks." "Yeah ok."
As I walked up the stairs I saw another surgical intern, he showed me to the conference room where all the other surgical interns were at.
I took a seat, I could hear people whispering about me, it was usually dares to try and hit on me or it was people saying how I'm not going to be able to last a day. While I was looking around I realized that there wasn't any girl interns. I looked to the guy I was sitting next too, the only guy who wasn't whispering about me. "Ummm, hey so is there any girl interns or like, am I the only one?" "Uhhh I think your the only one, unless some girl walks in here in the next 30 seconds." "Great!" Ok I just wanna say that I'm not sexist or anything I just don't want to be stuck with a bunch of guys who can't take me seriously and who's just gonna look at my ass the whole time.
The door opens, it's the chief of surgery. "I'm glad we have everyone here today, I am the chief of surgery but you may call me Dr.Hemrey." The guy next to me raised his hand. "Dr.Henrey?" "No its Dr.Hemrey. With a "m" not a "n" dumbass!" And now I am officially and utterly scared to death!
"Today is the day where you will be tested on how well and how bad you work under the pressure, this will be the best and worse years of your lives, some of you will crack under pressure and some of you will succeed, good luck everyone and remember it's a competition, fight for it!" I'm not much of a fighter, hell I haven't even been in a fight. The only fight that I've been into was at the donut shop down the street, where I got in an argument because this old lady took the last jelly donut, it was a bad day.
