It is all a blur. Distorted faces and muted colours. Only a ringing filling my ears. I had been to a school before but I was small and young, then they took me out and homeschooled me. It was senior year, grade 10 for the first time. I had missed a chunk of normal childhood due to my parents work. It was all so scary, I was a reck. I looked down at the complex timetable in my hand. First class of the day, Art. I had never done art at home but my mother says it's quite fun. I walked around looking for the class when finally I reached it. B934. I walked inside and sat down. It was only a small class. Two girls and two boys all sitting in this small classroom. The teacher walked in. "Ah lovely EVERYONE made it." She screeched with enthusiasm. "Rolecall!" She sung. "Oliver?"
A boy with a deep voice replied. "Here."
"Alexis?" She continued. A rather sweet looking girl replied. "Present."
"Annie?" The teacher called. "I'm always here miss, there's no need to call my name!" Said a rebel looking girl from the back of the classroom.
"I know dear. Caleb?" She called. A large groan came from the front.
"Riley?" She said with less energy this time.
"I-I-I am here M-Miss." I trembled.
"OOOO a new girl in my class!!" She squealed happily. "Welcome!"
She looked around the class. "Has anyone seen Bailey?" She yelled worried. A girl crashed through the door I'm here miss. She flicked her hair out of the way and it was the most Beautiful thing I had ever seen. She had big glasses and a lovely button nose. Her cheeks had a few freckles and she had a perfect smile. I felt my cheeks going red as I stared at her. We made eye contact and I quickly looked away, embarrassed. "Ah here she is, Bailey we thought you were skipping class." The teacher smiled at her. She came and sat down next to me. "Hey, new girl." She whispered over at me. "H-h-a-ey." I nervously chuckled. She laughed and looked back at the teacher. "Today class we will be going out to the green houses to sketch and eventually paint some flora." She hopped up and walked out, beckoning with her hand for us to follow. "MISS!" Yelled Bailey. "Riley needs to go to the bathrooms no doesn't know where it is, I'll lead her to it." She winked at me. I smiled and nodded at the teacher. She approved and we walked to the bathroom. When we arrived she held me by the shoulders. "I'm gonna tell you a secret cause I know you have no one to tell." She whispered looking around the stalls to make sure no one was there. A rush of adrenaline travelled through my body as she touched me. "I like Oliver and I need you to help me win him over!" She squealed to me. I felt all the excitement drain out of me. She likes someone else. What was I thinking, we only just met five minutes ago. "Sure?" I said. (The next thing I did was not the best choice, because I hadn't been in many social situations I asked her something stupid! Ugh I'm so dumb.) "Why do you like boys? Why not girls?" I asked stupidly. She laughed. "Your funny. I actually don't know!" She says. "You never know until you try."
