Preface

***Hi Everybody! I'm Nicole, I'm 17 and this is my first time posting on WattPad and the first time ever releasing any sort of Fanfiction, so I am really excited to show you guys!

Sooo, since this is my first time, and I'm not completely sure how all of this is works, I am going to ask for 1 VOTE to post the first chapter!

And I know this Preface can be a little confusing, but I PROMISE if you keep reading, it will all make sense!

So please feel free to comment and whatnot! I hope you are all having a great December! Stay Warm!***

Dear Stranger,

I know that you will not read this until you are a young lady, and will not understand it until very much later, but I do hope that one day, after all of the events in your life unfold, this letter will make it all come together, like tiny pieces of a puzzle fitting snug inside one another.

Throughout your life, you are going to face many challenges; abandonment, confusion, monsters, unkindness and lonliness. Your life is going to be full of misery and sadness. There will be tears and cries, wails and screams.

Your life will be a trial and tribulation, that much is true. But with every great defeat will come a great stride. You will face new and wonderful adventures alongside your difficulties. You will meet love, friendship, wonder, true beauty and many others that even the oldest creatures in the universe couldn't even describe.

I promise you that one day, all of the tears will fade away and the sadness will become a distant memory. But this must all come with rules.

But as you will find in your life, not everything you wish is so obvious. Your instructions come in a riddle, that I know you, one of the smartest girl to ever live,  will one day understand and put it to the correct use.

Lots of fire brings you here

But you're not sure where here is

People will always come and go

But you will stay with other kids

Soon enough, you will very be

The bravest girl to walk the Earth

But first must come a grueling man

And a child relinquished at their birth

All of this, must occur

For time and space to weigh

But, not too late, it will all make sense

And there will be your end of days

My darling, Girl of the Century, I am confident you can carry this out. I apologize for the confusion and the events to come, but you must always stick by the means of this letter, and trust that everything will be alright in the end.

I promise to see you soon.

Yours forever, and closer than you think,

A Special Friend
