Katalina's POV- September 2016

I took a seat next to Betsy Gonzalez and tried to catch my breath. I had literally taken a 5-minute shower after my game and bolted out of the locker room. For some reason there was no traffic on the 405, which I was extemely thankful for.

"You're here!"

I smiled at her and pushed my still damp hair back.

"Corey said you'd be a little late"

I laughed and nodded as I slipped his pass into my purse.

"I am more than a little late" I told her

I fixed my jersey and made eye contact with Maddy. She smiled and waved at me before calling one of the workers over. She told him something before the man ran away.

"Where were you?"

I looked at Betsy.

"San Diego, I had a game today" I told her.

She smiled at me.

"You drove up from San Diego?"

I nodded.

"Surprisingly the Freeway was accident and traffic free" I admitted.

She laughed.

"Were you listening to the game?"

"Yes, I was literally parking my car when Colorado broke the tie" I told her.

The Dodgers were at the top of the 9th with 1 out. I made a face as Justin got his second strike.

"Did you guys win?"

Justin was striked out and I looked at Betsy.

"Yes, 3-1" I said.

She smiled.

"Did you score a goal?"

I smiled and clapped as Corey's walkout song came out.

"I'm a goaltender" I told her.

She gasped.

"You're lying"

I just laughed and turned my attention to the game.

"I need your game schedule because the girls and I are going to one of your games"

I looked at her and nodded.

"I'll send it to you" I promised.

I turned my attention back to the game when the crowd went wild. Corey had just hit a homerun; he had tied the game...AGAIN.

"How long has it been since you saw Corey?"

"I saw him briefly after Wednesday's game" I told her.

She nodded and caught Corey's eye. I smiled at him and watched as he walked into the dugout.

"You started school on Thursday, right?"

I nodded.

"How are your classes?"

I hummed and nodded.

"It's going to be a hard quarter" I admitted.

I looked at her and she smiled.

"Corey was telling me that you're graduating a whole year early?"

I nodded and clapped as Joc walked.
