Her heart beat faster and she closed her eyes in anticipation for his lips to meet hers. But they didn't. She stood there for the longest time but his lips never cams in contact with hers."Hmm...delicious...." His voice reached her ears. That's when she opened her eyes to see his back and she looked down to see a bite of the ice cream, gone.
"You! You idiot! Stupid guy!" She rambled flustered. "You made me think, you were going to..." She stopped .
"What? That I was going to kiss you?" He chuckled and settling again on the bench. "Sorry Bunny, I don't kiss teenagers." He yawned. She quickly trudged forward and in the process her melted ice cream slid and fell to the ground in a plop. "Ugh!" She groaned.
What kind of bad luck is this? She rambled in her mind. But I also met Abhay and talking to him. That was her lifelong dream though. She chucked the cone away in a dustbin and stood before him her hands on her hips.
"For your kind information! I am not a teenager! I am an adult!"
His lips curved in a sarcastic smile. "Oh really? How old are you then?" He asked amused tipping his head above to look at her.
"Twenty One!" She smirked proudly.
His eyes widened in surprise. "Really?! You don't look a day over seventeen!" His eyes slipped lower beneath her neck and slid up to her eyes.
She blushed as she saw where he had looked. She was not well endowed like other girls. Her body was like a thirteen year old's.
"Bloody hell! You are twenty one!" She saw him looking at her college id. She smirked proudly. Atleast she had convinced him she was an adult. A fully consenting adult. She thought.
"Then there's is nothing that can stop me from doing this!" He said pulling her wrist. Her heart jumped in joy realising he was going to kiss her.
He did kiss her. She had felt his lips, alright. They were moist and warm. But not on her lips. His lips were pressed on her wrist. She flinched. She forgot she hadn't worn full sleeves today. It still did send up waves of sparks up her arm, her heart did skip a beat but still, she didn't want anyone to see them. Not like this, they were scars of failure. Scars of her cowardice.
He still held her wrist in her hand as he looked at the betrayal expressed on her face. Before she could yank her hand away, he gripped it tighter. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath to let her anger simmer down. "Let my hand go!" She snapped and yanked again pulling it with all her might. But he held it tighter.
"Why?! Why?! Why did you do it?!!" She yelled as tears stemmed from her eyes flowing down her cheeks. She hated showing this part to others and he was just a stranger. How dare he barge into her well guarded secret?! She thought as she rubbed her cheeks furiously with her other hand.
"Because in the future if you see it, you won't be haunted by thoughts to do it. From now on, it'll be the place where I kissed you." He muttered to her in a low voice.
