Maddie licked her lips and forced herself to back away from him. The need to get away from him overwhelming. "No I don't..I..I better go." She pushed herself through the door before he could even reply.

He watched her close the door behind her without even a look at him, without so much as a "thanks for the ride." As he walked back to the car, anger and frustration pulled him in a couple of different directions. On one hand, she deserved it. On the other hand, he had the urge to go pound on the door and apologize. Beg her forgiveness and hope to start over. Let her know that he wasn't that guy anymore.  He turned and saw a light turn on in one of the second floor bedrooms and then turn off immediately.

Fuck it, he sighed making his way back to the car. He tried to adjust himself to make it less uncomfortable driving with a hard on. It was a pain in the nads so to speak but somehow he managed to make it home in one piece.

He felt his phone vibrate in his pocket and he pulled it out and answered. "Hey Chelle."

"Hey, I thought you were going to call me tonight."

"Yeah I lost track of time at the club. I figured it was really late so I'd just catch up with you in the morning."

"Well I wanted to let you know that Bryan White from Schecter called and asked for you to call him back. I think he wants to talk about the new design."

Brian was curious as to why one of his reps was calling Michelle's phone but he remembered that had been his home phone for a long time.

As if reading his mind, she answered "He doesn't have your new cell number."

"Ok great, I'll give him a call."

"Maybe if your free, we could hang out. I miss seeing Pinkly and I miss you too. We could just see where it goes."

And there it was, another offer to get back together. It would be so easy. He knew her, knew what she liked..how she liked to be touched. She knew how to touch him. He knew they could fall back into the old pattern...at least until she started in on how horrible a husband he was and then they both went looking for solace elsewhere. It was the same old routine. One that not only affected him and her but Matt and Val too. It had almost tore the band apart before. He didn't want that anymore.

"I don't think that's such a good idea, Chelle," he answered honestly turning off the ignition of his car as he pulled into his driveway.

"Why?" she asked.

"Let's just leave it alone for right now, okay?" He wasn't any good at relationships. He never had been. He probably never would be. "I gotta go. I'll call you later."

"I love you Brian."

"Love you too." He said before hanging up. But it wasn't the right kind of love, maybe it had never been.

It was then that he noticed the small hand print on the car window that had to belong to Maddie. She was the only female He had in his car in ages. He leaned over to the window and raised his palm to cover it. It was cool to the touch unlike the woman who had left it there. Everything about Maddie Parker was hot. From the way she responded to his kiss to the way she ran into her house like she was being chased by the devil. The next time he saw her, he fully expected to be hit with her white hot anger. He knew he deserved it. Too bad he wasn't sorry.

Maddie pulled her night shirt over her head roughly before turning off the lamp and tossing herself into the bed. She stared straight ahead trying to clear her thoughts. Synyster Gates had kissed her and she was still in shock. One moment she was trying to apologize and the next, his mouth was on hers. When he took her hand and moved it down his body, her brain was so scrambled that she lost her will to say no. Then he'd pressed her hand against his erection. She should have been outraged. She was outraged right now, but mostly at herself. Outraged that the only thought in her head at the time was, I guess he can get it up. Followed closely by, Mmm, he's big all over.

Maddie walked into the house to find her parents snuggled on the couch, fully clothed thank God, asleep. She tip toed silently to her room closing the door. She was still thinking about that kiss. The reasonable part of her brain knew and understood why he'd done it. But what she didn't understand was what kind of man got that excited and pushed a woman away? She should have been the one in control. She should have pushed him away. She should have slapped the smug look off of his face for being so presumptuous. He should have been the one left dazed and confused. Ugh..she didn't know what it was about him. He was a bad bet. He embarrassed her twice now and left her ashamed by her own behavior. There couldn't and wouldn't be a third time.
Right?
