Chapter Two

Hello to the forty something people that have read my story so far! I would love if anybody left more comments telling me if they like it or even some criticism maybe! I love to hear feedback on my writing. I am not quite sure how often I will be updating but once I get into the swing of things I will let you know! Hope you enjoy!

Shayne's POV
Courtney sits in the passenger seat beside me as I drive us to lunch. She sings along to the radio and I look at her from the corner of my eye.
I'm never not thinking about how beautiful she is. It's cliche but I really can't believe how pretty she really is. She stops singing and looks over at me.
"Shayne? Are you alright?"
She speaks quietly and I look back into her eyes.
"I'm great." I smile and turn the radio back up, singing with the pop song that blasts the speakers.
Courtney grins back at me and shouts the lyrics along with me.
We arrive at the restaurant, order, and sit down to wait for our food. Courtney starts talking about the script and our plans to run lines later in the day. I listen as she speaks excitedly and I smile, hearing the joy in her voice.
"For the scene where you object to me marrying Noah, they're letting us improv whether we want to do the rom-com style and unrealistic thing or if we want to have me act like you're crazy. What do you think?" Courtney asks, resting her head in her hand and looking up at me.
"Whatever you want, I'm just excited to start filming. I think this will be a fun one!" I am desperately trying to hold in the excitement about this sketch.
"I guess I'll just surprise you!" She laughs and I grin at her.
Our food arrives and we eat quickly, talking about the sketch and our plans for certain scenes. After lunch, we arrive back at the office and I'm sad to have to go back to work.

Courtney's POV
Shayne and I always have so much fun together. I really love spending time with him.
"Hey Court, will you come run lines with me?" Olivia pulls me aside into the break room.
I follow her meekly. I'm not sure why she wouldn't want to rehearse with the rest of us. She turns and stares at me dramatically.
"Um, Olivia." I'm confused.
"Come on Courtney. You need to tell me what the hell is going on with you and Shayne." Olivia raises her eyebrows.
I back up and blink at her.
"What are you talking about? Liv, you know I'm with Andrew."
She sighs and puts a hand on my shoulder.
"I've known you for a long time now. I know when you like someone. And besides, didn't you just tell me you weren't so sure about Drew?"
I scoff and reassure her that I'm perfectly happy with Drew. But am I really?
I mean he's sweet, most of the time. Gets along with my friends, most of the time. He's what you would call mediocre. And I like the security in that.
But, should I be exploring other things? I mean, what's life without a little adventure? And I like Shayne, I really really do.
He's sweet and smart and adventurous. Oh my god, I have a crush on Shayne. I need to figure this out before I lose my chance.
