Henry's P.O.V

I was at my after school job sweeping the floors like always, when my boss Ray came running in through the front door all sweaty. He had just come back from a run and now he was stretching, I just stood there drooling as I watch his muscles flex.

"Henry, can you mop up the floor, I got it muddy from my shoes."

I was so entranced by his muscles that I didn't hear what he said. Lucky for me I heard him say my name, which broke me of my trance, before he could notice me staring.

"Uh...yeah, sure, Boss." I replied saluting him.

"Great, and stop calling me boss, just call me Ray." He said becoming slightly annoyed for this is about the hundredth time he has had to tell me that.

I just nodded my head. He smiled slightly and walked away, probably to go down to the man cave. He is Captain Man the best superhero in Swellview. I, unfortunately, am not allowed to go down there, for that is also where he lives.

---Next Day---

I was currently working behind the counter, ringing up customers. All of a sudden, these guys come running in with guns, telling all ten customers, and me to get on the floor, and demanding to know where Captain Man was.

'They knew! They knew his secret hideout! But how!?'

I quickly and quietly pushed the emergency button under the counter, it would signal him that there was a problem upstairs.

In no time at all he ran through the front door and started to beat up the intruders with the guns, it is a good thing he is indestructible.

I felt someone grab me by my hair and pull me up, he wrapped his arm around my neck, not hard enough that I couldn't breathe, but enough that I could not break free. The worst part, he held a gun to my head, trying to threaten Captain Man.

"Let him go!" Ray yelled having already tied up the other three criminals.

"Make me, you come any closer and I'll shoot him." The man ordered Ray.

He was caught between a rock and a hard place.

"What do you want?" Captain Man asked the man.

"I want to see who is behind the mask." The masked man said triumphly, like he had won.

If felt like he did win, especially when Captain Man reached up touching his mask, before he could take it off.

The masked man let his guard down some in anticipation for what was to come, or so he thought.

No one knew I was a black belt in karate and I took defense classes, mom's idea, thanks mom.

When he wasn't paying attention I stepped on his foot, and flipped him over me, the masked man landing hard on the floor.

While he was dazed and confused, I grabbed the gun and took the bullets out of it, throwing it on the ground by Captain Man.

Captain Man just stood there looking at me shocked, I pulled the heavy man I just took down and tied him up with the rest.

"Captain Man, sir, are you alright?" I asked concerned, considering he hasn't moved or said anything.

He shook his head snapping himself out of his seemly dazed state.

"Where did you learn to do that?" He asked as the police took the criminals away, and helped the petrified people out of the store.

"I'm a black belt in karate and my mom makes me take self defense classes, and I thought those were stupid." The last part I said more to myself, shaking my head.

"Oh." Was all he said before walking away to help the police.

Annoyed, I spun around and started to clean up the broken peaces of glass and anything else that was scattered across the floor.

'How can he just act like what I did was nothing, I helped him, and saved myself!! He is just so...urg!!'

After I finished cleaning up the shop, with some help from Ray, I was allowed to go home.

When I got home, my mother ran straight over to me and latched on to me.

'She couldn't have known what happened, or that I was involved, could she?'

"Mom, what's wrong?" I asked worried she knew.

"Henry, he's out..."

---Two Days Later---

Those words had me constantly on edge and watching my back, I'll admit I was scared out of my mind.

I stayed close to Ray as much as I could without him getting suspicious, but that was only at work.

When I alone, like as I walked home from work or school, I would continue to look behind me, across the street, I freak out when a car drove by, and I shook the entire time.

I was traumatized after the first time, and I knew I wouldn't be able to make it through a second.

I got home after school just to find Captain Man, sitting on my couch, talking, and laughing with my mother.

"Oh Henry, can you come here for a second we need to talk to you." Mom called out.

I nodded and walked over to them sitting on a chair across from them.

"So, what's up, why is Captain Man here?" I asked genuinely curious.

"I called him." She smiled.

"Why?"

"Your mother said someone who hurt you a long time ago just got out of jail and she is worried for you, so she has asked me to let you stay with me for a while." Ray explained with a big fake smile.

"Oh, and what if I don't want to?" I asked rudely.

"Why would not want to go somewhere you can be safe?" Mom asked shock clear on her face.

"What about you and Piper, I'm not leaving you alone!" I yelled getting mad and frustrated.

"Me and Piper are going to my friend's house in Georgia, we will be fine, I'm more worried about you." She on the brink of tears no doubt remembering what happened five years ago.

"OK, as long as you will both be ok." I informed her.

"Do you mind staying with me?" Ray, I mean, Captain Man, asked.

"No, I guess not."

"Well, then let's go!" He shout gleefully, smiling a genuine smile.

"But I have to pack..."

"Me and your mom already did that for you, your stuff is in the Man Van."

I nodded my head and got in the passenger seat, I looked out my window and saw my mom and Piper staring at me with sad smiles.

I'm going to miss them so much, I waved at them as the van started to speed away.

"So are you comfortable telling me what happened five years ago?" Ray asked politely.

"No." I simply stated.
