Okay I wrote the first chapters of this story last year so the first chapters might be quite different than the rest.

Chapter One ~ Only 2 Months

My name is Charlotte and this is my lamentable story.

I came home from school and sat down at the kitchen table with mum ....

She looked sick but then she was always looking pale these days.

Mum said the usual you know.

'How was school'

'What'd you learn'

Then she said she needed to talk to me about something important.

Okay now I knew this was bad.

Lets just say there are two words you should never have to hear in your life.

"I'm dying"

"Charlotte"

"Listen to me Charlotte"

"Charlotte I'm dying"

"Two months"

"Terminal illness"

"Two months"

"Cancer"

"Look after Talia "

All of the words wouldn't stop echoing in my mind.

When my mother told me she was dying.. My whole world just started to fall apart.

How could I come to terms with the fact that my mother who had carried me in her stomach for nine months and then raised me ... Just be gone .. vanished into thin air.

I was absolutely shocked.

My body had never felt pain and emotion like this before.

I feel to the ground off my chair and burst into tears,

I could not let her die.

My auntie Kelly came in from the lounge and talked to me.

I could only process some things she said..

'Brain tumour'

'Can't operate'

'Too close to the brain'

'It's terminal'

When someone you love does you can't believe such a thing.

I mean its like how could someone so important in your life be gone just like that?

Vanished.. Maybe a speckle in the sky ... Or a star in the galaxy

It is an emotion you can't describe to anyone.. Nor an emotion that anyway could say they knew exactly how you feel .. People say 'I know how you feel' but be honest..

You have no idea how much pain, heartache and grief that person is going through.

But we still say it.

We still say we know how you feel.

My mum, me and my three year old sister are very close.

My dad left us when Talia was born and we haven't heard from him since.

I couldn't lose my mum apart from her I have nobody except Talia and Aunty Kelly.

What would Talia do not really knowing our mother.

I walked down the stairs into her room she was sitting on the floor playing with her dolls and Teddy's..So innocent and so small.

Talia's kind of lucky she doesn't understand so she can't feel the pain of knowing whats going to happen.
