"I bombed that Chem test though!" Lucas complains to Mike about his grades from time to time.

"Well, at least you didn't fail the class." Mike fires back with a bit of humor in his voice.

"Alright man, I gotta go to work. See ya!" Mike gives Lucas a wave and hustled into his home to get ready for work. He slides on a black button up and a black pair of jeans. His name tag read "Wheeler" in bold letters. He places the tag just above his right bicep. He wasn't buff, but he wasn't bone skinny either.

Every day before getting on his bike, he looks at it and says:

I need a car.

He has his license, he just can't afford a car. He pedals up the hill and just down the street to a small dive. He busses tables for a living, but he couldn't ask for a better job. He has fun, believe it or not. He talks to new people everyday and he enjoys that. Not many people visit this establishment, but he didn't care. Less work for him.

Today was different. Seemingly normal, though. There was an odd amount of people there today. Mike was on his toes, not getting a break. But that's not really the odd part. Mike had noticed a car parked outside the building for a little over an hour.

"Hey, Gene, do you see that car out there? It's been there for a while." Mikes boss is a laid back guy. He's friends with mostly everyone, and if you didn't know him, you were living under a rock.

"Oh it's probably someone just takin a break from a road trip or somethin. Ya know?" He ends every sentence with 'ya know?'

"Right." Mike says, still in suspicion.

The restaurant begins to clear out and it's nearly the end of his shift. Only a few people remain in the red leather booths. A bell goes off, signaling that someone had entered the restaurant. A figure with a slim hourglass body made its way to the bar. Her hair was pulled back in a tight pony tail, and her hands rest in her pockets. Sunglasses shield her eyes from the non existent sun that day—it was cloudy. She takes a seat at the bar and clears her throat. With one hand, she picks up the menu and stands it up, covering her face. Mike stands behind the bar, shamelessly staring at her. He has suspicions, because he knows she came out of that car that was idle for the passed hour. Mike stops mopping the floor and stands up straight.

"Can I get you anything...?" She tilts her head up from the menu, only showing the top half of her head to Mike. She clears her throat.

"Uh no." She looks back at the menu and Mike puts the mop down completely. He really wants to know this girls story.

"So, I've never seen you here before," he picks up empty glasses from pervious customers. "Where ya from?" The woman still stays looking at her menu.

"I'm not from around here." Her voice is quiet.

"Well, where are you from?" She doesn't answer at first.

"Mike, I don't really have time for questions." Mike shudders and changes positions to get a better glance at this woman.

"How did you know my name is Mike?" The girl looks up from her menu once more, and puts it down. She raises her sunglasses off her face. Mike is unable to move. He would recognize those hazel brown eyes anywhere:

"Eleven?" He whisper yells. She placed a finger to her lips, telling him to shush. She gets up from her seat and goes behind the bar. She grabs Mikes arm and rushes out of the restaurant. She gets in the drivers seat of the car and Mike gets in the passengers seat. They stop just before they reach Mikes house. She pulls over on her side of the road and turns the car off. She unseat-belts and turns her body to face Mike.

"I just killed two people." She takes her one hand out of her pocket to reveal a knife. Mike is still in shock from just seeing her.

"This is a lot to take in," Mike gulps hard. "Who did you kill?"

"Corinne and Anita." She looks at the knife and wipes the blade on her shirt. She shakes her head.

"It took me 3 years to get away from them." She trails off. Mike just stares at her. He can't help but think how beautiful she's grown. Her hair reaches her back, even in a ponytail.

"I just freed myself for good, Mike." She looks at him with teary eyes. Her tears of joy make Mike want to cry.

"So does this mean—" Mikes thought gets finished.

"Yes," she nods her head. "Yes Mike, I'm back."
