The Flame and The Frozen Wall

Some time ago, a burning heart fell in love with a heart of ice.
A flame trying to slowly melt a frozen wall.

At first, the wall was too frozen for fire to melt it.
But then, with a lot of patience and perseverance...
...the water started to flow beneath the wall.

Soon the water made a lake.
And the flame kept floating in faith, melting every time more of the wall.
Hoping for the day when the heart of ice was finally exposed.
The flame knew that she could melt the thin ice that covered the heart.

And when that would happen, she would turn off.
And let her heart find the other.

But something happened.

The wall started to resist to fire.
And fire started to get really, really tired.

So one day, a tragedy occurred.

Tired for the resistance of the wall, the flame lost her hope.
And with hope being the power that kept her floating...
...she fell into the lake.

For obvious reasons, she turned off.
Leaving her burning heart...
...vulnerable to the cold water.

So the heart couldn't resist it.
And got frozen too.

But the cold of deception was bigger than the cold of water.
And eventually, the heart itself froze the water.
Creating a new frozen wall.

An echo stood in the air since that day.
Singing sadly a song without rhyme:

"I wanted to kiss his soul. But he only kissed the flesh.
As he poured on me his burning need, my bleeding emotions drained.
Inside me a flame ran, pursued by the cold of disappointment.
Or the cold of his rudeness.
The lack of decorum.
Each disappointment, a tear of the heart.
Each kiss, a cold blade piercing the skin.
It felt like autumn in my soul.
Broken hopes as falling leaves.
Illusion turning into deception, as green becomes yellow.
Fire, fading into the snow that announces winter.
A beautiful waterfall freezing to be just a bunch of ice"

No one ever knew what happened to both hearts.
But the cold stood there.
And no flame could ever melt either of the walls.
