lunch break

"now, lee soojung. come on."

"okay.." soojung says, having a rather scared look on her face.

"don't worry hun. it's all going to be okay!!" mina reassured while soojung gives a small smile, hands fiddling.

"ok now, stand in the X. close your eyes and relax." taehee says, taking a breath in as soojung subconsciously mirrors.

soojung felt the dizziness occur, opening her eyes with a hand jumping to her head.

she looked around, not saying a word.

"today's story is where your father comes home drunk and has a record with abuse, he has a knife and he locks you in your room, escape."

"action!"

"abuse??.."

her father bursted through the doors, soojung yelping at the sudden noise.

"lee soojung!" he yelled. she had never seen her father this way, it made her emotional.

"d-dad, don't be like this, huh??" she pleaded, a small lake already running down her face.

he grabbed her by the collar, lifting soojung up while her hands tapped at her father's wrists, nodding a 'no' in hope that he'd stop.

"let's go get some ice cream, huh?" she cried, her lips now trembling in fear.

"you're too soft." taehee's voice was heard through the intercom, soojung's hiccups immediately stopping.

soojung fell to the floor, her father's grip on her becoming nonexistent, the background mirroring.

"0%, sorry hun." taehee says, having a soft spot for soojung's kindness.

soojung's head was held low as mina took her to the cafeteria.

"okay everyone, lunch break. follow mrs. song to the cafeteria." jumin says through the intercom.

"i wonder how their food tastes." hyojin says, two fingers rubbing at her chin.

"follow me. in a line." she commanded, her voice becoming hoarse as she spoke.

"some of you may already know but you'll all be taking a candy, that plays the role of a pill, before you sleep and after you wake." taehee says, holding the ball of candy in her hand. "the reason you take this candy is to make you stronger, mentally and physically. i hope you all do understand."

"it's so big," kyuseo comments.

"now, come get your lunch." taehee says, pointing to the nice old ladies waiting patiently in the kitchen. "since there's not many of you, you can all fit on those two tables over there." taehee says, pointing to the two long tables at the center of the cafeteria, the rest not set up due to there only being 13 students.

"thank you," they all politely thanked the chefs as they stepped out of the kitchen. there was no place to slide your ID card or whatever, you just would walk to your seat and begin eating.

all the students uncomfortably sat on the small table, giving each other awkward glances as their thighs awkwardly touched.

"what did you do in the fun room?" yoongi asks, leaning a bit inward.

the mic of the intercom could then be heard. "students who have already taken the tests may not speak about what the test consist of. or else you will be punished. there are ears all around so go ahead and try saying a thing about the -- "

"it's like a stimulation room." jisun casually says, stuffing a cherry tomato into her mouth.

"YOO JISUN COME TO MY OFFICE RIGHT NOW."

aeri chuckled, giving jisun a passionate look that says 'i like her'.

jisun didn't leave and wanted to see what would happened if she didn't obey the rules.

"anyway! i'm jung hoseok in case you forgot!" hoseok says with a bright smile.

"we didn't forget." solji says, not looking at anyone but her food.

"i didn't even know she was here." kyuseo whispered.

"don't be rude," namjoon says.

"ahaa..cherry tomatoes are so good." jimin buds in, not wanting anyone to start.

"yoo jisun. i thought i told you to come to my office." taehee says, staring down at jisun.

jisun looked up at taehee from her bowl with wide eyes. jisun then began stuffing the food down her throat, trying to eat a good amount of food before she had to go with taehee.  

two males appeared out of nowhere and grabbed jisun by the arms, dragging her off.

"hey. hey! get your hands off me!!"

"don't worry about her. or else you'll join her," taehee says, the sound of her high heels clicking throughout the cafeteria.

"i wanna know what they're going to do to her?" aeri says with a curious smirk on her face.

"me too," taehyung adds.

"w-whatever, they'll probably just lecture her." jungkook adds, trying not to sound more scared than he already is.

"guys, let's just eat so that we can get our turn into the fun room, yeah?" seokjin says, eyeing everyone on the table with a friendly look.
